Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

KuwaitAll the tv apps don’t work . They have an issue with their internet connection to the TV so you are stuck with cable There is no one to help with the bags as you enter. Even when I asked , no one lent a hand. Although they did offer to bring them up to my room after I checked in. Their checkout is at 11am and they are not flexible about a late checkout. You will get charged per hour if you overstay. Note that there are two buildings. It seems that the apartments are not in the main building but I haven’t seen them so just to be noted. Also unfortunately their rooftop is for private events only
The hotel was hip and clean . The lobby is cool and decorated well. It smelled great too. The room has a rustic look to it with antique decorations placed around. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was modern The location of the hotel is in a cute neighborhood with up and coming restaurants walking distance.

ItalyNothing, only it was difficult to manage the heating between the two floors of the room
Located in a quite but well connected part of Brooklyn, the Box House hotel offered us a lovely accomodation with enough space for 4 people, clean and equipped with everything for having a quick breakfast (fridge, stove, coffee machine, dish soap). Breakfast is also available in the hotel restaurant, paying an additional cost.

United States of AmericaOur room was right across from the ice maker and elevator, so it was a bit noisy. Other than that, I do not have anything bad to say about our stay.
The reception desk was wonderful. They were very helpful and answered all of our questions. They even upgraded us to a room with a balcony. The room was nice and clean. The location was perfect for us as we spent the day with our adult children that live in the area. We all returned to the hotel bar. We enjoyed the bartender Dave who was not only a great bartender but was also very entertaining. Later in the evening I went to find out when check out was for the next morning. Kadidja was so personable and friendly and was kind enough to give us a later check out.

United States of AmericaStill waiting on my deposit. I wished it had more in the area. A bit industrial.
The balcony's and the large rooms. Some of the staff at the front door and front desk were wonderful and kind. Especially Mohamed and Denise. Dave from the Bar was soooo nice too. Makes great drinks as well.

IrelandReception staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. Walls are possibly not the thickest as we could hear the TV in neighbouring rooms. It's a steep extra $50 per night plus tax for an extra bed. Bar and restaurant only open three or four night a week.
Great location, both Greenpoint and the proximity to Manhattan - 1 subway stop to Grand Central, Lovely vibe to the hotel and good space in the room. Safe area with a preponderance of hip coffee shops.

United States of AmericaAll good!
Beautiful hotel with lots of character. Clean and spacious, which is shocking for New York! Still pricey by normal city standards but it was way cheaper than anything comparable we found in New York for that weekend. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room had cool art, lots of light, and was spotless. The 7 was down for the weekend so it was a little bit less convenient than expected getting in and out of Manhattan, but still not bad, and normally it would be super easy. Greenpoint is a cute, fun neighborhood. Way exceeded expectations!

GermanyPull out sofa rather hard...... Rather loud due to street sounds from nearby bridge (some of the rooms are directly opposite to a highway bridge...) Pull out sofa and rollaway bed were not prepared at arrival - BUT: hotel gave a good discount when we complaint about this.
Big rooms, reasonable price, clean, good beds (main bed). Two balkonies. Very nice bathrooms Possiblity to have a rollaway bed to host in total 5 in the large rooms. 10 min walk to watertaxi, subway; 10 min ride to Manhattan. Walking distance to Williamsburg. Very nice supermarket 1 min walk Wonderful jogging possible with view on Manhattan...... We had a nice view on Vanderbilt one and Chrysler from our room.
