The bathrooms were not kept clean enough and the plumbing is bad. They put up signs telling us not to put toilet paper in the toilet and instead put it in the trash can. I've only encountered this crazy requirement in third world countries that I've traveled to which have poor infrastructure. It's crazy to see this in the USA. Fix your plumbing.

Would be best to have private bathrooms but it wasn’t really an issue.

There were no curtain on one of the windows in my room. Perfect for the rest of aspects.

Weak wifi since there are so many people using it at the same time. I had to pay $60 for mobile data during my 24-day stay to enable myself to work. If you are not looking to work remotely during your visit, everything else will be fine. Also, the place is close to a military base and helicopters fly almost all the time, otherwise it's quiet.

Cleanliness and maintenance were amazing. Proximity to cool restaurants and stores was awesome. The hosts are kind and responsive to your needs. I like that they enforce quiet hours which is why I had respectful hostelmates during my stay.

Lack of filtered water to drink.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and there was a vast selection of good quality restrooms. It also has a safe locker room with cameras.

It’s about 10-15 mins’ walk from the metro station, and there’s no lift. As I didn’t bring big suitcase, it’s totally fine. Most time, especially during the daytime, it’s very quiet in the house. Even though it is said mixed room, I think the owner tried to put same gender guests in one room. The kitchen is also good.

The location was good only a few blocks (10 minutes) from the metro. Also walking distance to hollywood.

not super important but I think the host could install some little shelves close/above the beds e.g. for a phone, bottle of water, some cosmetics, a watch :)

very good location close to the most important tourist attractions and metro station, big kitchen with a large fridge - very comfortable for cooking, very nice shared areas, it was not typical hostel with a lot of people - it was very cosy

Had to sleep with 5 other guests in the same room. Host made sure that we're mindful towards each other so we can't make so much noise or talk a lot on the bedroom. There was no dispenser for clean drinking water.

Floors are a bit squeaky

Hostel has a quiet time policy, so it is relatively peaceful at night. It is really a house, so it feels homely for a hostel. Staff is friendly

The rooms were a little warm throughout the evening even with AC, fans, and windows open. As with any hostels, bathrooms can always be cleaner, but nothing unexpected!

The owner is very nice and responsive via booking.com! We were able to check in early, and leave our suitcases for storage on the day that we checked out. Never had any issues with bathroom usage. Location is walkable to a number of LA spots. Great for the value!

if you arrive late night expect to be bothering everyone because of the squeaky floor. To go to our room we had to pass through another room. You need to pay a small amount of money if you arrive after 11 pm.

Bathrooms were a bit dirty.

Location is great - the hotel is situated on a quite street, but in the meantime it is not far away from the main attractions. Also, there are roses on the front yard where you can chill in the morning.
