Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaUnsheltered people is also an issue in Sacramento downtown but this is neither an issue that the hotel can fix nor a security concern during our stay. However, I would like to have complementary breakfast compared to the price that I paid for one night stay.
The historical building is beatiful and I would have liked yo learn more about its history.

United States of AmericaDoors slammed all night long with no buffer. The sirens were easily heard all night long as well and there was homeless all over the area.
Staff was very nice, and the view was amazing. The political satire was pretty funny.

United States of AmericaBathrooms downstairs in the lobby and restaurant are down steep stairs and very secluded. Did not feel safe going alone as a female. No on-site parking. Valet is expensive, and the only other option is a city garage with no security.
We had an amazing experience booking here for a girls' night. They allowed us to check in significantly early, and our room was incredible. The decor and historic touches in the hotel rooms were delightful. Next door, the bar had a great brunch and happy hour menu with wonderful friendly staff. We will certainly be back!

BelgiumGreat hotel that was quite pricy because of a festival that was going on in Sacramento. Really helpful and friendly staff! Valet parking is available, but there is a really cheap parking garage (city hall) closeby!

United KingdomI wish they had double glazing just to keep out the noise from the street below. On a Saturday night, the movies in the park can be heard which is a bit of a problem. Thankfully it didn’t go on too late.
The welcome from the staff was incredible. They were so kind and friendly and treated us like royalty! Cannot say enough good things about them. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a lovely big bathroom. Shower was wonderful - hot, hot water with lots of pressure. The gym was quite large and well kitted out. Also, the location was brilliant within an easy walk of the Old Town and Downtown Sacramento.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast staff.
The front desk staff seemed tepid. The bell hop/valet staff was amazing & very friendly. The restaurant staff for bar menu were more helpful & attentive than the breakfast staff who didn't quite understand my order & once we received our food never checked on us again even though it was not busy and there were at least two servers working 4 tables. There was no butter on my toast & no butter or jam offered. The coffee/fruit was very good, but the eggs had no salt & I wasn't able to get any out of the shaker on the table.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was super expensive so we didn't try it but it looked amazing.
This was an unexpected last minute stay as our car got locked in a parking garage downtown. I booked on booking.com and even though it took awhile to come through on the hotels end, they got us in quickly. We had a rough night and the receptionist took it upon herself to give us a bottle of champagne on the hotel while we waited. They were super friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

United States of AmericaStreet parking was free on a Sunday, but there were lots of homeless people around. The valet was $40 a night, 1 night stay was $230 & no free breakfast. They do not have microwaves or refrigerators. The bathroom is kinda small with nice size shower only. The body wash was empty, which hangs on the shower wall was empty. Thank goodness we bring our own. They gave us water bottles upon check-in, but the 16oz bottle waters in the room was $4.00!
Location was in walking condition of our activities.
