Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was a big garbage bag full of linens on the floor in front of our hotel room door. It was still there when we left to check out.
The location was close to Oracle Park, less than a mile walk 👍🏼

Thailandthe parking fee is quite high but I think it is normal for San Francisco or any big US city.
Location is great and the room is clean. There was a rubik to play on and get stainless steel water bottle. The gave credit for food that we ended up eating a lot and they were delicious too.

United States of AmericaFarina at the front desk was cold and unfriendly. As a member of Bonvoy for close to 2 years, a request of a 45 min late check out should not conjure a charge- policy or no policy. And a greeting and a smile is common place when dealing with the public.

United States of AmericaI feel like we should be able to opt out of the $30 a day because I didn’t really use it much. That way it could save me some money AND the parking was way too expensive. Maybe 45-50 a night but $80 is quite a bit of money

United States of AmericaThe front desk lady that checked us in never explained about the $30 a day plus cable car tickets. I was told by another guest at the bar. Little disappointed she didn’t mention that to us.
The property was fantastic everything looked great.

United States of AmericaThe valet parking is way overpriced and your pretty much locked in as not much other available parking . If your staying at hotel already paying higher price $80 to $90 is just way to high. It was raining and the design of windows there was loud tapping from rain hitting them all night

United States of AmericaDidn’t love the location, it’s a hike to get anywhere. The hotel is surrounded by empty buildings, typically with a “for lease” sign. Bring your on umbrella. There was no offered at the hotel.
The room was comfortable, as was the bed. Hotel was modern and slick. The staff was excellent. The property was quiet, which is the top of my list for comfort.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast options. The buffet was really expensive and I only wanted some eggs over-medium, hashbrowns, bacon and some toast. Next time we'll get the breakfast sandwich at the hotel coffee shop. It was much more reasonably priced.
The room was wonderful and much more than I expected. It was very stylish and comfortable. The location was perfect to get to Oracle Park. I think we found our new home base for when we are in San Francisco.

United States of AmericaEverything was great. Cannot think of a single thing not to like. This is a rare find in SF.
The Clancy is such a gem! The lobby is drop dead gorgeous... a place you want to linger and enjoy quiet conversation. The room was terrific: quiet and very comfortable. Didn't spend much time there because we were in town to watch the Chinese New Year Parade; and this is where the hotel shined... two blocks from a great viewing area! After a great night traipsing all over the city, we relaxed in the outdoor courtyard (warmed by the large firepit). We loved all the gifts for Marriott Bonvoy members, too (food/beverage credit, reusable water bottles, Cable Car tickets, fortune cookies!). We will definitely stay here again.
