To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I left messages via chat and on an answering machine with the phone number that was provided and no one called me back. It ended up that the pin is provided when you use the kiosk There was no email ever sent prior to arriving. It was just confusing. Or stay there was nice but the communications being outdated gave me some anxiety that we wouldn't be able to check in.

AustraliaThe staff are contactable by phone. Not sure where they are located but I found one of the phone staff to be a bit rude which was disappointing. Luckily there is little need to phone, as things are self-explanatory.
The place was exceptionally clean and well organised. The shared kitchen was immaculate and the coffee and tea facilities were great. The restaurants close to the hotel were the ones we enjoyed the most.

MexicoExtremely expensive considering no reception or staff visible onsite (self serve model), no restaurant, no lobby or bar, small basement kitchen, average quality linens and mattress, below average bathroom amenities. The small balcony is in fact shared though in the pictures it looks private. Better options are available like the Melrose if you don’t mind walking 10-15 minutes.
Perfectly clean and well appointed room. Location is exceptional.
