Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was a night table on one side of the bed only. It would be nice to have two chairs in the room. The toilet paper was cheap. Being next to Herald Square is very NOISY. There are constant sirens.
The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us. The location cannot be beat for taking the subway.

United KingdomAside from a fitness centre, there are very limited facilities. No tea or coffee in bedrooms, no bar or breakfast
Great location just off Herald Square, close to Macys and within easy walks of many midtown attractions eg Times Square. Smaller hotel making it easy to go from front door to your room. The rooms were very quiet, bathrooms well appointed and overall a good place to sleep. Also hotel super helpful in holding luggage on day of checkout

BelgiumA kettle/coffee making facilities would have been a welcome addition, and would have liked to be able to open the window. View from the room was disappointing.
Perfect location and surprisingly good sized room for three of us. Good to have two full-sized, comfortable beds and space to change in the area meant for luggage storage. Water bottles greatly appreciated.

GermanyOur room was located on the fourth floor facing the street. The windows are simple without accustisque protection what allowed us to feel the night life of NYC... If you like to sleep in peace and quiet, choose a room on the upper floors or on the courtyard.
the hotel Gregorian is in a good location, near Empire State Building and Briant park, where (when the weather is fine) you can enjoy breakfast in a very pleasant setting. Beside of breakfast, there's plenty to eat and drink in the surrounding area. At least all the sights are within walking distance.

CanadaDepending on the day, it can be very pricey. The location is very convenient, but there are no extra amenities. Offering coffee to clients would be an excellent thought for management to consider.

IrelandThis hotel has no facilities, its bedrooms only with a reception area, no bar or restaurant in the building although there are plenty on the street and this is reflected in the lower price than some other hotels. There are no tea / coffee making facilities in the room either but there was plenty of bottled water.
Great location - 1 min walk to Macys on 34th street. Hotel is very nice, everything in good condition and clean, bedroom was a good size with plenty of storage, beds were super comfortable! We would come back again.

Very nice central location for this hotel, perfect for first-timers looking to explore the city as much as possible. The King Room was large, modern and clean. We had a very nice view on the Empire State Building. The staff was extremely welcoming and efficient.

United States of AmericaThe elevator situation was more difficult than I expected. We were on the 10th floor, so there were a lot of stairs to climb or descend and we spent a lot of time waiting for the one slow elevator. Also, there was a door connecting our room to the one next door and sounds came right through as if we were sharing a suite. I had to call the front desk twice to complain about the noise next door waking us up.
The room was a good size, the location was excellent, and we had a view of the Empire State Building.

This hotel is super nice. Building is old, but it has a soul, it is nicely refurbished, clean, stylish and its right next to the Empire state building. Subway is right on the corner, plenty places to eat are nearby. Every day fresh bottles of water and kind stuff :)

United KingdomOne elevator was being renovated, which sometimes meant long waits - this is temporary though and will be fixed shortly - staff did inform about it on arrival. As with any central NYC hotels, rooms facing street will experience some noise and I came prepared with earplugs (none of these are points that would prevent me from staying again - would happily return).
Excellent location within walking distance of many attractions and transport links (two blocks to Penn station). Room was newly renovated and clean, bed was also very comfortable. Nice sized room (had a standard king room) for central NYC location.
