To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room we got was really spacious and had a view of the empire State building! The location was also really good near ktown.

United States of AmericaWe didn't have an iron in the room we did have an iron board but not iron. I went to the front desk to ask for one . They promised the house keeping will bring. Which never came. Also there was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee. It was cold outside but AC was set on cool so couldn't do more than 76 ( which was fine for us )
The location is absolutely great. Just can't be better . Metro station right in front .

United States of AmericaIt was hard to get coffee for our room and at first we didn’t even have a coffee pot, a cleaning lady got it from another room as the front desk never brought it up. Seems like that’s pretty standard for a room especially at this price point and the website says there is a coffee pot in all rooms.
It was in the perfect location, about 8 minutes walk to Times Square and plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The beds were comfortable and the temp was great in the room. The men helping with luggage were exceptionally helpful in getting our bags in and on the elevator. Nice views from our room that I loved looking out.

United KingdomThe bathroom was a little tired, the sink vanity was peeling a bit but it really didn't cause us any concern. The sofa bed for the 3rd person in our room wasn't that comfy which was a shame as the king bed was amazing!
This hotel is in a great location! There were 3 of us sharing this room and we booked a King Deluxe Suite with Parade View. The views were amazing! The room was clean and very spacious - we've stayed in other hotels before and barely enough room to swing a cat but this one was great. Enough room for 3 girls and all their luggage! The lifts were fast so no waiting around. Was able to leave our luggage on the last day until our train in the afternoon - they charge $2 per bag. I managed to get this hotel at a great price as I booked during the black friday weekend and the price dropped down to just under £200 per night.

SingaporeWaiting for the lift can take a long time. One of the rooms we booked was for two double beds, but inside the room, one of the beds was a thin mattress laid on a sofa bed. It was acceptable for us.
The location is great, 5 mins walk to a subway station, and with many food options around. Macy’s is just across the road. The place was clean, value for money given the prices of hotels in NYC.

ItalyThe staff could automatically explain a few things better right from the check-in, without hesitation. For example did nobody tell us how often housekeeping would come to change towels, nor how it works with the roof top terrace. If we hadn’t heard before that there was one, we wouldn’t have known it. Nobody explained to us how you can get up there and that registration with ID is required. Upon arrival staff at the reception wasn’t very welcoming, the only thing we were asked was to pay a deposit.
