The bathroom door was warped due to water damage and once it was closed you would have to pry extremely hard in order to get it back open. The bathroom door for 114 should be replaced. The wifi also wasn’t the best, and we frequently just used cellular data since it was faster.

The staff was very kind and welcoming. The front desk attendant who helped us check in had a very friendly demeanor. He also gave us a small goody bag of snacks, which was appreciated. The room itself was a little bit quirky with a separate kitchenette. While we didn’t do any cooking during our stay, it was a nice amenity.

The toilet was not cleaned, looked like it wasn’t flushed after last use. Light from room across the parking lot shined directly into my room and had difficulty getting the curtains to close properly to block it out. No information on the TV channels, I had to just flip through them (multiple channels) to find something I liked.

The bed was comfortable, looked like the room was remodeled. Had fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Large TV.

Unfortunately we had a room with 2 double beds for 2 Adults and 2 children, and doubles are just a tad small for 2 people would have preferred at least a queen. My pillow was just ok should have brought my own. Bed itself wasn't bad just small.I want to give a great review for there friendliness and cleanliness but I had a rough night sleep in that small bed

The property is definitely a little old and has some wear and tear, so if you’re picky about that this won’t be your place. However, it was well cleaned and smelled nice and I thought it was pretty charming for a little beach town hotel. The bathroom was a little small and the toilet ran a bit but only for a minute. My only two real complaints were that the pillows were super flat and worn out and that the products they provided for showering were not great, even by hotel standards, though they did provide a fair amount of them.

For being an older property, it was really clean and well maintained. The bed was super firm but comfortable and the TV was easy to use and had a lot of channels. I only stayed for one night so I didn’t need the kitchen facilities but I was pleasantly surprised that my room had a little extra room with an entire kitchen and love seat. If I were to stay longer, I would definitely stay here again because there is an oven, full sized fridge, and a microwave. The shower had good water pressure but was a little hard to maintain temperature. The man working at the front desk was pleasant and efficient and checked me in early. The location was decent, I was able to get almost anywhere in Santa Cruz by bus in less than 45 minutes even though the buses are super sporadic there.

Cleanliness was not completely up to par. Sticky inside dresser drawers. Walking barefoot on the floor I got a lot of dirt on my feet. Paint in the bathroom is peeling. Bathroom door is rotting from moisture room 114.

As a solo female traveler I felt safe and comfortable. I slept well. The person at check in was very friendly. The cleaning person (wish I caught her name!) was very friendly. The place is very spacious, the kitchen stove worked really well. Lots of storage area-plenty of room for my surfboards inside. The geraniums in front of the adorable balcony are a nice touch. Thanks for a good stay!
