Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe staff behind the desk at both shifts were quite unfriendly and more interested in what was happening on their phones. There are 5 or 6 stories to this building with no lift. It wasn't a problem for us, but it may be for some - something to keep in mind.
The location was great and the staff who helped with our suitcases were very keen to help. It was great value for New York. Even though the room was tiny, we had everything we needed. A great room if you're touring all day. The hotel looked after our luggage after checking out at a cost of $2 a bag - this helped us a lot.

Egypt-they need an elevator -I think they need upgrade for their facilities -location was good cause it’s near time square yet not a safe and clean neighborhood
-price was very good compared to New York prices -room was small yet not too small practical for two or three days stay for two persons. -the stuff upgraded us to bigger room to be in the first floor as we had big luggage’s and the stairs was so hard

IrelandThe bathroom door is a sliding door so it doesn't close fully. The reviews had said the room was small but we could just about open one suitcase on the floor. There was a constant smell of weed in the halls and reception. Hotels are pricey in New York at the minute but this was a little bit over priced for the size.
The location was great and the room was clean. Staff we're friendly and there was someone at reception at all times.

ColombiaSo many stairs. Very tiny spaces. Some of the ascendants are cold and not empathetic. We lost a jacket and felt no genuine concern about it or efforts to find it and proactively communicate.
Pretty clean. Some of the attendants are so kind. Very good localization. It's so close an affordable to go in and go out.

United States of AmericaThe noise from other guests can be heard -- this isn’t a quiet place. Wish the pillows were better.
This hotel has all the things that you really need. The rooms are clean and the water is hot and the cost is (relatively speaking) reasonable. The staff was friendly. You just have to go into it understanding the frills that are not there (no fancy lobby, no elevator, no in room coffee, a very compact room). We'd stay here again.

Czech RepublicThe lack of an elevator is definitely a limitation, given the steep stairs. Given the proximity to a busy avenue, the room soundproofing could definitely have been better.
The location (within 1 block of Times square) is just wonderful for those visiting for leisure. The room being quite compact, it was tidy and offered all necessary conveniences.

United States of AmericaThey do not have an elevator and there are 5 floors. Ours was on the 5th and good thing we did not have a suitcase. My friend did not like the automatic temperature control, since it was a bit warm during our stay. Their heater is on during certain months of the year that are expected to be cold and their AC is on during certain months of the year that are expected to be warm. However, since the weather these days are not normal than expected, I wish there is a way to modify the temperature based on the current weather.
The location was fine. However, for someone who cannot sleep with certain distractions, a room away from the street must be requested. I did not get a good sleep since it was noisy outside.

United States of AmericaIt was unseasonably warm, and the only option was heat, and there was really no window to add a breeze because it was against the wall so it was a bit warm at night. I also didn’t like a lack of elevator. I should’ve researched that.
Location was wonderful, staff was helpful. I have a bad knee in the three flights of stairs were difficult after a while, but the staff was willing to carry luggage up and down.

UzbekistanStaff was not too caring, when we asked for second key from the room - a staff member gave it to us just by asking how many nights we are staying for and room number, and I believe even a stranger could get a card to access our room. The door to bathroom is just a sliding plastic wall, and you can hear everything that happens inside. And at night - its is a little bit noisy because you can hear everything outside.
It is a good location, rooms are smaller than expected but thats okay.

CanadaThe shower - the moveable/handheld shower head was above a fixed one (that no water came out of), and as a person on the shorter side, it was extremely hard to reach to reach to move it, because it was angled directly onto the wall. I had to hold it for my whole shower because I couldn’t reach to put it back in it’s holder. It would be nice if the attached shower head was removed, considering it clearly isn’t used anymore. That way the moveable one could be put in its holder and spray down directly on the person showering, rather than on the wall.
Proximity to Times Square and subway lines. Bed was comfortable enough, and the room had everything I needed.
