Not being informed of ongoing construction before arrival and booking. Hot tub was broken, which had not been repaired since our summer visit

Getting woke up every morning at 9 am to pounding and drilling. They were remodeling and neglected to let us know before booking and did not say a word about it when we checked in. It was so loud we finally called front desk and they just said sorry.

Location and beach access. Beautiful views. Restaurant food was delicious.

The room we stayed in *5038* had air conditioners that were loud/squeaky/ rough sounding which made it hard to sleep. The fridge also was on its last leg/ didn’t work. The outlet next to the tv stand in the bedroom didn’t work. The arm bar on the door to the balcony in the living room portion can be pulled off. *really nit picky stuff*. We had a great time and it was a nice place!

Not much to say about this. One of the thing was that the resort was working on some of the balconies and it was very noisey. Another things was having to pay to park at $15.00 per night which actually ended up being $19.00 per night after taxes were added.

The Island Resort was an excellent place to stay. The location was near all of the things that we wanted to visit. Most of the time we traveled to eat outside the resort (not because of the food; but we were traveling around and eat on the go). We did eat a mid afternoon lunch at the resort and it was excellent. The staff was "top-of-the-line" and very friendly and listened to what we had to say or ask. Our room was excellent; it face the gulf and had a beautiful view most each day (rained and cloudy a couple of days). The beach was one of the best that we had ever been on: very soft white sand which we learned was quartz. I would recommend this resort to others.

My biggest complaint is the $15 parking for just a lot if it was a garage I might understand! Also $29 a day for activities which I seen few offered???

I was surprised that you have to pay $21.00 per person for breakfast, pay for chairs and then pay for parking. As expensive as the room was, those things should be included. You can go to other hotels down the road, have free breakfast, chairs and parking included and the room are less expensive.

We loved the view of the beach and watching the volleyball tournament. The convenience of the restaurants next door. Being in the middle of everything but far enough from being crowded.

Leak in the bathroom, seen a couple cockroach and baby lizard inside the room. No ironing board. Dirty hand towels. No continental breakfast. No walk up bar(swim).

We booked specifically because of the Grotto Bar, and it was closed for rehabbing during most of our stay. That was a bit disappointing. It did end up opening up the last day of our reservation, so we ended up extending our stay another night. Also, the first morning we were there they did not offer the breakfast buffet due to low capacity at the hotel, we were told. On subsequent days I believe it was available. We also requested to be moved from our room to a new one due to the fact that we could clearly hear every word being spoken in the room next to us that was connected by a door. We were surprised that would be the case in such a nice property. Our new room didn't have another connected by a door and it was nice and quiet.

The gulf view of the room was amazing. The fact that it overlooked the beach bar was nice too because we got to sit and watch people enjoying the music from the DJ right from our balcony. The volume was perfect, not too loud. The property is pretty big and sits right on the beach. We walked on the beach every morning and late at night in the moonlight. It felt like we had miles of beaches to ourselves. The room was a good size, very clean and quite comfortable.

The plumbing our toilet almost overflowed, and they were doing maintenance on both pools ,and no breakfast buffet but other than that we made the best of it I would stay again

The pool with the big waterfall was freezing cold and unusable due to temp. There was a heated pool, but it was in severe need of upkeep (it was closed the next day for that exact reason, so hooray for their attention to the issue!). We wish the other pool was also heated. Also, the photos of the resort imply beach chairs are provided on the private beach. However, they were actually for rent for almost as much as purchasing one. We felt mislead and disappointed in this, but not enough to deter us from returning. Also, there was a little visible mold growing on the ceiling of the shower. Not too surprising for a small hotel bathroom, but worth noting.

Everything was lovely. They were having an event on our arrival day. Everything went smoothly even considering the additional people present.

room well below expectations - AC did not work even after the staff replaced it. for the room cost - it was subpar - facing the parking lot, not even chairs outside the door
