Rainy weather the first day, but it was nice to just crash and relax.

Breakfast was great. Loved the crumb cake. They don't sell NJ crumb cake in PA.Other breakfast options were also great! Wonderful start to the day!

Stayed at the start of December for a wedding in NJ, and despite it being more of a summer destination the hotel and room were very nice, warm and cozy. We appreciated the style and how everything in the room was a piece of art, the room was also very comfortable with a big bed, great shower and all the necessary appliances. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and were always on hand despite it seeming really quiet (given the time of year). Breakfast was great, with the option of cooked food, fresh fruit and fantastic freshly baked cakes. Location is good, right next to the beach and a short walk away from the high street.

my room was a bit dark. i was in the tobbaco room. would have liked it a brighter color or have brighter lights

decor was creative. simple but chic. friendly staff. the breakfast was exceptional. items were artisanal. made me feel special.

The James was spectacular so were the owners - great hospitality, friendly and very professional with family atmosphere. This butique hotel has been perfectly designed, which creates unique atmosphere. We have travelled a lot around the world and James is the place you want to stay in. Once on spot you get all you need to short walk to beatiful Bradley Beach. Great places to eat seafood and wine nearby. The neibourhood is very queit. Parking place on spot without fee is additional asset. This place is highly recommended!

The rooms were a little dark. A little more lighting and full length mirror would have been appreciated. There was also an issue with a leaking air conditioner that was quickly fixed.

The location was superb! One block from the beach was ideal. The multiple outdoor seating areas were extremely relaxing including the fire pit. Weekend breakfast that was included was delicious.

We have no negative things to say.

The interior of the room & hotel is very simple and cool! Breakfast is very basic like bread ( they served 4 different kinds of bread), Boiled eggs, Greek Yogurt and fruits, coffee and Juice…..etc, but everything was very fresh! Pillows and bed are very comfortable so we got a very good nights sleep the entire stay. Staff are all kind, friendly and very accommodating. They provide beach chairs, beach umbrellas and towels plus beach badges (beach badges are required to access beach), which were always very clean and well maintained!!

the lighting in the bathroom wasn’t consistent (it turned off) and the room we were in at the top of the steps was so noisy - we could hear everything happening downstairs and in the hallway.

it was stunning and the staff was exceptionally helpful.

No notifications of a turndown service. That’s a little strange when you never knew that was a service bed and breakfasts offer. I never had that before and we were freaked out when my wife noticed they touched her stuff and put articles of clothing back in her travel bag. If I stay there again I will request no turndown service. I suggest they at least mention it when you book your room and check in.
