Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere really isn't anything to dislike. I guess the elevator is kind of slow. The complimentary muffins were a little stale, but who can really complain about free muffins.
The rooms were comfortable and quiet with clean sheets and big, well-appointed bathrooms. The hotel had really cool decor and personality. There was a free breakfast complete with bacon, eggs, muesli, breads, fruit, muffins, and little Belgian waffles.

United States of AmericaThe parking left a lot to be desired. It cost $45 nightly and the spaces barely were wide enough to fit a car. In addition maneuvering in the underground lot was ridiculous. However street parking is not really feasible. So it was really their lot or nothing.
The location, the beautiful renovation work on a 19th century firehouse, and the breakfast all combined to make this a great stay!

United KingdomThis is a small hotel. Great value but does not have a full bar and only a small evening restaurant. But the staff are so helpful and friendly they can sort out a beer anytime. Or direct you togood local eateries This is a super minor downside... Overall excellent hotel, well run and friendly
Excellent in every way. Professional and friendly service. Good rooms. Love the firehouse history. Breakfast was the best "American buffet breakfast" I have had outside of a 5 star hotel. Best bacon I've had in usa

United States of AmericaRoom was a little small. Breakfast didn't have many options. Packaged waffles, yogurt, apples. Bathroom mirror and sink was outdated and I don't mean it in the "vintage cool" way. TV also constantly took over 2 minutes to load a channel, very frustrating.
They provided water in the lobby that was very good. I liked the style of the hotel. It had a Dyson hair dryer. Location is great. Very close to the train stop. Close to restaurants.

United States of AmericaAll staffs were working hard, but it seems like they are simply understaffed. There was only one guy at the front desk and he was taking care of everything (check-in/out, bell service, parking, phone calls, etc.). It was the case on the next day (although someone else was working) as well. They sent out identical messages about the stay (information about the garage, breakfast, early check-in etc.) multiple times before check in, but they never responded to my questions via Booking.com message.
Former fire house renovated nicely. Interiors are also fire engine-themed, which was fun. In terms of location, it was perfect. Less than 1 minute walk from T train, right around MIT campus. Early check in was also available (10am-noon, $50, depending on availability).

United States of AmericaUnfortunately, I did not book direct with the hotel; using a general booking service. That cost me an extra $20/day in parking (for $45/a day)...wish I would have known that in advance as it would have affected how I booked our vacation. The adjacent parking was underground and protected which I appreciated. Spaces however are limited in number (~20) and small...glad we were driving a MINI Cooper!
Kendall has a unique charm from its firehouse origins. Excellent location steps away from the Kendall metro station. Room was spacious, clean with very comfortable bedding and large size bathroom/shower. Stayed here some year's ago on business and very pleased to return for a vacation visit. Made touring Boston / Freedom Trail great using the metro to downtown. Across the street is a Legal Seafoods too!

United States of AmericaNothing negative. It's a great facility and a very nice experience.
The facility is perfectly located for anything to do with MIT or with the high-tech businesses around Kendall Square. This is facility has the ambience of a high-end boutique hotel or B+B with a very helpful and friendly staff. We always stay there when we are at MIT. My spouse loves the place,.
