The Prince Kitano is in a great location. The hotel is well kept. The staff is always personable and accommodating. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of the Empire State Building.

Perfect located , with short distance to main shopping streets, viewpoint, restaurants. No noise from outside into room, spacious room (30m2) The Portier arranged fixed price taxi to airport for us which saved us a lot of extra.

The breakfast buffet was really too expensive at $40.

Everything. They even have a Mirabelle chocolate shop in lobby! The bed was very comfortable and the sheets incredibly soft. Great big wonderful bathtub and a bidet. Excellent green tea in the spacious room. Wonderful staff.

It’s a really old hotel so updates hardware & small size of room, but the cleanliness of everyday room services as well as the usefulness and friendliness of staff overwhelmingly compensated this part so we are still very happy with our stay.

Staff’s friendliness & professionalism. Cleanliness of room. City central location which gives us less then 15mins Uber drive to all the usual spots.

Double room was cramped with one small window .View was terrible overlooking old roofs.No view of Manhatton at all. Bathroom fittings were old and hard to get a constant temperature with the shower. Complimentary shower gels were not replenished.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaueant looked very nice but we always went out for dinner and breakfast.The rooftop bar was a good size very comfortable with good food and drinks.

The bellman/valet, who wasn't respectful to my teen nephew when we returned late in the afternoon in our car to reclaim and load up our luggage after checking out earlier in the day.

Environmentally unfriendly: (i) Guests should be given an option to keep using the same towels (i.e. towel-exchange-decline-option) and to still get simple room cleaning service such as emptying trash and replenishing teabags; (ii) Shampoo, conditioner and body soap should be in mounted dispensers rather than in small throwaway tubes. Hotel entrance security: (i) Hotel entrance doors and elevators to rooms do not have any electronic card operated systems; (ii) We came back late at night on all 3 nights (around 11 pm) and on all those nights there was no door man, one of those nights there was nobody sitting at the front desk and another night the person sitting at the front desk was talking on the phone and did not even look at us. There was a daily charge for the hotel/room WiFi service.

Room was very clean. The bed was firm and no bedbugs. The view from the 11th floor room overlooking Park Avenue was very nice with open sky view above and the street noise was tolerable. Location was within easy walking distance to Grand Central Station and to a great Japanese restaurant called Wokuni. The water kettle in the room made it possible for us to have tea and coffee anytime we wanted and our requests for more tea bags, etc. were promptly met.
