Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsStaff could use a bit of work considering this is a fairly luxury boutique hotel with high rates. They did not want to send up water at 6 am when I phoned down which I think is ridiculous
I lived in the South Loop of Chicago for 15 years, so the Loop and Financial District are home to me. I personally love being removed from Michigan Ave and Streeterville area. It's a 9 min walk from Printers Row for which is much more local and charming. The building is stunning. The rooms are decorated beautifully and are extremely cozy! The bathroom is enormous. And this hotel is pretty quiet! Much nicer than Michigan Ave with the motorcycles at all hours of the night

United KingdomThe inner courtyard is a bit drab. I suspect it is jointly owned with other tenants in the building.
Room decor is nice and we had a view to the Willis Tower from.the window. Spacious bathroom, and we liked the grill restaurant on level 21 so much we ate there a shocking 3 days in a row. I also like a hotel with a sky lobby.

United States of AmericaThe only con about our stay was that we had spotty Wi-Fi. It barely worked for all three of us which prevented me from working on some projects at the time I planned.
We loved everything about the property—especially the service from the entire staff and the quality of the food at the Restaurant next to the concierge.

United States of AmericaPillow cases were old, some parts were torn off. Surfaces of table, side tables could be cleaned better. The street and exterior side of the main entrance for LaSalle hotel was not clean with garbages. Street felt like a bit abandoned.
I did not eat breakfast but complimentary coffee was great. It seemed to be nice to have take out continental breakfast option. Location was convenient, close from major attractions in the downtown. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaWe could not find the switch to turn off the bar lights. Had to sleep with that annoying light on all night. Also I had a long evening gown that I could not hang in the closet because the rack was not high enough so my gown had to be draped over the sofa! And WHAT was that contraption under the sink in the bathrrom????
Easily able to control the room temperature. Also loved the fragrance through the halls.

Canadaour only compainent was that it was located in the heart of the financial district which made getting to various sightseeing spots a bit of a walk, but a minor issue. It was quiet at night.
The LaSalle was a great boutique hotel in keeping with the kind of hotel we hoping to stay at while visiting chicago. Very high class and chic. Loved the rooms and common areas. would stay agin

Decor! The rooms are beautiful as well as the common areas! The staff was exceptional! When you first arrive... valet was amazing. Front desk staff... I'm so sad I forgot their names, but I spoke with two women and they were beyond accomodating! They made our anniversary a special day! A room upgrade and glasses of prosecco made it even more special... oh let's not forget an unforgettable ride from the chauffeur because we couldn't get an Uber to pick us up (they were filming a movie that evening on the same street so traffic was kind of iffy).

United States of AmericaUnfortunately the location is really optimal for the business traveller and NOT for tourists. Too far away from the Riverwalk and the Navy Pier and Magnificent Mile. Close to Chicago Art Institute. Most nearby eating places close at around 7 PM and on the weekends they are closed.
A very nice hotel with great, friendly service. You really get the feeling of being welcome here. We did enjoy our stay. lots of nearby convenience stores. Relatively close to Chicago Art Institute.

PanamaA little bit of hallway noise can be heard sometimes.
One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The 1920’s decor with a twist was exquisite, the scent in the hallways was infatuating, and furniture was beyond comfortable. I really dislike gloomy hotel rooms, so I was pleased with the huge windows giving a lot of natural light as well as the exceptional artificial lighting. Room was super clean and had everything one can need. Staff was attentive and nice all the way. Location was also good, lots of coffee shops nearby and you can get to the Riverwalk steps in no time straight through LaSalle St., or take W Adams St. to reach Millenium Park. I will definitely stay here again!

United States of AmericaParking was either valet or find a parking garage. There are a few close by, but it was a few blocks walk to get to the hotel, not a deal breaker but if traveling heavy could be a bit of work.
