They accept pets but it is not ok to be woken up by dogs barking to death in the morning when its owner decided to go to breakfast! Also to have a $35 destination is a new one in terms of creative fees, even by US standards. You can use it at the bar but it just forces you to pay more at the same place, rather than exploring the city. Also they didn't recognize first that we had free breakfast through our Booking reservations. So we had to sign for it every morning ($36.75/person!) and lost time at checkout to get a refund

Location is really good, in the upper part of Midtown in Manhattan. Really historic place, with Art Deco style. Room was quite spacious for NYC. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was pretty good (nothing exceptional but just nice and good).

Hotel rooms were very cold, and the heating was not working even tough outside was cold and the weather was bad. There was a construction work next to the hotel, so it was very loud. Prices of food and drinks at the hotel bar/restaurant are pretty high.

Location is very good, walking distance to the most important sightseeing places and 5th and 6th avenue. There are several bars and restaurant around hotel, and the bar in the lobby is very nice, staff were very friendly.

Staff at front desk were not very friendly or helpful throughout our 3 day stay; they acted like they didn't want to be there. Unfortunate.

They charged to hold your luggage. One day it was $3 for two pieces, the next it was $6 for two pieces. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that charged to hold luggage before. There was no security by the elevators to the rooms. I put a chair in front of my door. Anyone could go up to the rooms freely.

Your breakfast "deal". The credit we received and that it was almost as much as one breakfast cost . The breakfast was horrible - paper and plastic products ? No waitstaff - had to ask to clean the table - chairs are ridiculously uncomfortable . The food was generically awful . In a city where food is an art form you use thawed bread goods ? Really ? And unimaginative coffee . I chose this hotel because I stayed in a Marriott Autograph Collection in London and had a fabulous experience in their facility and their dining room . This gets a negative 5 .

The breakfast was very basic and there was no drinking water in the rooms. The overflow drain for the bath tub is too low.

The lobby decor is quite nice and the jazz music is a good touch. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. The reception and cleaning staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Couple issues that are not a problem unless you are an NFL linebacker like myself. The bathrooms are beautifully designed, but, very tight if you are above 6’ and 250lbs. Shower is inviting, but a little undersized. Obviously the hotel architecture is dated and wonderful so I understand the limitations of space, so I take that into account. The other issue is that the beds are not plush by any means. They could use an upgrade to their mattresses. I’m not a picky person but if you going to spend 4-500 dollars a night I do expect comfortable beds. I would give the property an 8 out of 10 even with the small issues that I had.

The staff was excellent from the car valet to the front desk. The property was extremely clean and wonderfully decorated. The hotel bar was accessible and very inviting. The location is perfect for excellent restaurants and close to Bryant park and broadway. Perfect spot!

Not sure who charged me twice for breakfast for 2 days when I never did. I was supposed to have a credit for $35 and I used it the last day myself. Grateful the lady mentioned this before and took it out of my bill. Not sure if it was the weather but sometimes the tv channels were not working

Thermostat was broken and couldn’t be adjusted. Facilities staff came by but couldn’t do anything about it.
