Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

DenmarkRooftop bar and pool area was too small for crowds using them. Almost all the staff was very young people (no problem with that) but the service level was under par as it seemed they have had too little training. Over all the hotel looked nice in regard to decor, but where somewhat tried when you took a closer look.
Spacious room with nice view of skyline (we live on seventh floor, windows facing north). Nice rooftop bar. Nice pool area. The location was great. Central for all Austin activities.

United States of AmericaYou need a proper kettle for tea. Otherwise it's all very nice, esp. if you have a river view. The line for the cafe in the morning is a problem. There needs to be three staff, not two: one on the till, one making coffee, another making food and the gross big sugar drinks Texans order.
High quality design features in thee room. Gym and P6, poo, location by river and downtown.

CanadaVery little, the hotel is great. The elevator to my section (P6) is somewhat slow and there is a small flight of stairs to walk up after exiting the elevator to get to my floor. But on the whole, it was a very enjoyable stay and a great property.
The view from my room of the Colorado River was exceptional. The hotel is well-located downtown and has great amenities onsite, including a bar, roof-top restaurant, pool, and gym.

United States of AmericaBeds were very low to the ground. Also the lobby needs some upholstery cleaning. There were stains everywhere on all the seating. I was thankful it was winter and didn’t need to sit on it with a dress. A quick steam cleaning it would be perfect. Your lobby is your first impression.

United States of AmericaI really don't get the point of the convoluted, two-tier design of the bathroom countertops (attaching a photo). It reduces the usable space, and its easy to place things down wrong on it. Water also ends up pooling behind the "plateaus". There is technically a mini-fridge in the room, but it's so stuffed with minibar items that we could barely keep anything else in there. The windows let in a lot of street noise - we were 12 floors up, but could still hear just about every car go by out front. Also thought it was odd, that on hot & muggy days with the AC running, they've got multiple fireplaces going in the lobby for "ambiance".
Staff were really helpful. We were staying under two consecutive reservations, and the front desk did what they could to simplify that for us, and keep us in the same room the whole time. Even had a great view of the state capital. One of the best taco places in downtown, Veracruz, is right off of the lobby. And the Congress Ave Bridge, the one with all the bats at sundown, is right behind the hotel.

NetherlandsNo smart tv, so no way to watch Netflix or similar. There was one closet next to the bed that couldn’t be fully closed and the automatic light coming from it was therefore on all night and visible. The pool area smelled… interesting. We encountered the same smell later on that evening when looking at the bats on congress bridge. Which the pool was located to very closely. So thats probably what we smelled. But, all in all, these shortcomings were very minimal for us since the stay at The Line was so amazing.
Gorgeous hotel, beautiful room and very modern and spacious bathroom. Friendly staff and Alfreds coffee was a great plus too. The location was probably the best part about the hotel. Valet expensive but friendly and quick.

United States of AmericaWe went up to the hotel bar around the time of the bat flight only to be told that the bar and restaurant were fully booked. This was disappointing as we had not been told that as a hotel guest we would need to pre-book.
- Good location for exploring Austin and great location for the Congress Bridge bats. - Pool area is lovely although there don’t appear to be staff collecting empty drinks/discarded towels so pool area could be more presentable. - Amazing Mexican cafe within hotel serving juices/smoothies and food.
