Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of America1. The pots and pans in the kitchenette are oversized for the induction top, so you can only cook one at a time. 2. There's a side of the cabins that faces open street and sidewalk, if you want peace and quiet ask for one of the inner cabins. 3. Check the towels! Some of the towels had hair shavings in them and were not clean. 4. The showers don't have a place to put your personal items in the cabins so you need to place them on the shower floor.
King cabin was unique and spacious. Location was convenient to Mammoth Mountain. The open fires are great for apres-ski and to enjoy the sunset. The kitchenette was sufficient to make small meals and well equipped.

United States of AmericaThe bathroom has a mildew smell and not renovated like the rest of the property. I feel a little bit gross showering bc they try to cover the nasty tub with a plastic mat.
It has two beds that fit a family of four. Good price for a quick weekend trip.

We had an amazing stay at Outbound Mammoth. Great location with walkable access to restaurants, grocery stores, and all the resort shuttles. The amenities are also fantastic for the price.

United States of AmericaWalls a little thin (could hear neighbors), poor WiFi in rooms, our room (accessible) did not have closet or wardrobe to hang clothes.
Updated property, clean, good location (right along shuttle route and walkable to restaurants etc), nice lobby with large fireplace and bar, nice staff, large pool/hot tub, bathrobes provided.

United States of AmericaWiFi spotty and didn’t work in room very often and when it did it was too weak to watch movies or work (258). Had to do online conference in lobby and still wasn’t connecting on all devices. Would highly recommend relays/boosters. Originally we had booked this hotel so we could work when not snowboarding and the poor WiFi could have cost us our jobs if we missed key meetings. Also, check in was a disaster. We waited over an hour, which is hard after a long day of driving and snowboarding. There was only one front office person, and she was a rockstar despite loads of issues with rooms and reservations. People had reserved rooms that didn’t show in your system, their preferences hadn’t logged, others were required to change rooms mid-stay and were pitching fits—one couple finally gave up their room to a couple with no room options to help move things along. The woman at the desk was dealing with rude, caustic and occasionally demeaning guests, and she was respectful, professional and calm, but clearly lacked the resources to solve the problems being thrown at her. I arrived at 4 and we made it to our room at 5:30. When I went down to solve the WiFi issue at 7, there was still a line and no end in sight, so I gave up. The morning person who was also lovely credited our resort fee for the WiFi issue, but couldn’t fix it.
Loved the food truck with French food (crepes!), jacuzzi and heated pool nice, sauna great, steam room would have been great but couldn’t figure out how to operate. Location is perfect in Mammoth-walkable to everything. Lobby is cozy—love the fire, coffee & tea, and games, outdoor fires really add great warmth and ambiance. Nice to have fridge/microwave/hairdryer/coffee/robes in rooms.

United States of AmericaNothing!
The location is perfect! We thought staying closer to the slopes would be better, but we wanted to try other parts of town since this was only our second time in Mammoth, and we loved it here! There's a Rite Aid, grocery store, restaurants and coffee shops in a 5-min walking distance, and they are all great! We got a more local experience than when we stayed at the Village. Better food and better prices :) Also the bus stop is right in front of the hotel so it's a very quick ride to the gondola. The room was clean and the hotel lobby is gorgeous and cozy enough you'd want to hang out there. And they have coffee from Mammoth Coffee available all day. They are also pet friendly (which we love) but I have severe allergies and they weren't activated, which only shows how clean they keep the place! Also the team were all very friendly and kind. We'll definitely stay again in Outbound Mammoth 🤍

United States of AmericaIt would have been nice to know the film festival was being hosted there. When I arrived, they were using the lobby space and was told I’d have to pay $100 for an early check in, which seems unreasonable given the blizzard conditions. Lastly, the WiFi never worked in my room the entire stay. The front desk staff seemed to know it was an issue and told me it worked best in the lobby, which I had limited access to given the festival events.
Was very clean and looked newly renovated. Great amenities.

United States of AmericaWe had a great stay. Nothing was bad.
The Outbound has done a great job updating this older property and making it very cool. The common areas are fantastic. The big fire area off the lobby is great for hanging out a playing games. Bar area is very nice as well. We stayed in a fireplace suite, which was very large and cozy. Huge fireplace, sitting area, and a small kitchenette which was great for making breakfast and snacks. Bathroom was also very spacious and we loved the soaking tub. The pool and jacuzzi area are also great. Very impressed with the renovation of this property.
