Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNo signs to find it. Needs to let people know where they are located on the side of the building where the wells fargo is. Price isn’t worth $300/nt. $200 is more like it.
Loved it.

United States of AmericaThey need blinds for the bedroom window. There is a string light on all night from the Wells Fargo bank next door and blinds did not block the light so I had to sleep facing away. Having a black out shade would be great there. Not a slotted blind.
Very clean

United States of AmericaMy dog was eating snacks on the floor left from the person before us, there was toothpaste caked in multiple places in one of the bathroom drawers, and a dirty napkin folded under the beside table to keep it from wobbling, the pillows had significant pilling on the cases which felt like inferior quality
Very cool place to stay, loved the exposed brick and beams, soaring ceilings and natural light, and overall design, appreciated that it was dog friendly and didn't charge a fee for it, loved that they had bikes, good water pressure, walkable and safe area, comfortable mattress

United States of AmericaWe were there on a cold winter weekend. The thermostat was set at 75, which was entirely too high for us. We could not adjust it to our liking.

United States of AmericaThis time, there were no kitchen towels or hairdryer. Would have really appreciated hooks in the bathroom and in the living room. Would absolutely love a luggage rack as well. I felt the floors weren’t as clean this time as well.
This was my third time staying here and I enjoyed it as always! So comfy and a great setup.

Convenient to downtown Salem. 2 restaurants in the building. Great home, feel you can even fix a pizza in the kitchen. The bedroom was restful and comfortable.

United States of AmericaNo elevator that we could find, so if that is a problem for you, stay on the 1st floor.
When you travel with a dog it's nice to have a restaurant right there that allows you to dine on the patio with your dog. The restaurant was great. We decided to do take out because we were tired from the drive, but could have used the patio with our dog in tow. Quiet neighborhood behind to walk your dog and a poop station on property. We will stay there again the next time we visit our kids in Sterling, VA.

United States of AmericaI will definitely come back here and for the price it was an excellent option, get downtown Salem location with two restaurants within a 5 ft walk. Very much better than the suite at the local Hyatt Place we stayed for our first five days in town, less money. We got a one bedroom queen suite and it was like a one bedroom apartment with high ceilings of rustic wood, everything was exceptionally clean and quiet. The check in was seamless as our building and door codes with instructions were text to us. Comfy, with all updated furnishings, luxury towels and toiletries, every channel u could imagine, even a quality air mattress for an extra guest. There was local coffee, everything needed to cook a great meal in the full size kitchen and beautiful lighting that created a warm ambiance throughout. We will definitely be back at Christmas

United States of AmericaThe only issue I had was that there was a strong food smell when I entered the room. After checking I found that the trash was not emptied in the kitchen and bathroom from what I assume were the previous guests. Going up and down stairs if you are staying on the second floor didn't bother me but some might find it inconvenient.
I stayed here for two nights. It's a great location in downtown Salem, convenient to multiple restaurants, a brewery, a coffee shop and other shops as well. There are two grocery stores within driving distance and a mall within about 20 minutes. Nothing seemed to be too far away. The room comes with a microwave, electric range, dishwasher, washer and dryer as well as an actual refrigerator (not a mini fridge like most hotel rooms). I did not use the range but otherwise all appliances were clean and in working order. TV service is provided by Hulu. It was fine and had the local and basic cable channels you'd expect. Internet speeds were great. I got over 100 Mbps when running a speed test and had no issues using my laptop while watching something on the TV at the same time. I did not have any issues with noisy neighbors as some others have noted but I also sleep with earplugs so your mileage may vary in that regard. I did check for bedbugs upon arrival and found no signs of any. I had no bites or other issues after sleeping in the bed too. I also liked the touch pads for building and room entry instead of using cards like a chain hotel.

United States of AmericaIf there was WiFi in the rooms, there was no sign saying what the password was. So, I wasn't able to do some work on my computer that I needed to do and it was too late to talk to anyone about it.
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The designer found a nice mixture between comfortable and stylish. We could have easily lived there for a month. There was a common space with books and bikes and cookies etc. We didn't use them since we didn't stay long, but I would have otherwise.
