Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Everything was great. James was a hotelier and his wife a flight attendant so they know all the big and small details of 5 star hotels worldwide that will delight you as a guest. I loved the history of the house, the decorations, the warm hospitality, the availability of all the spaces in the house, the spacious rooms, the chocolate on my pillow, coffee in the room, access to their drinks on an honor basis . . . Everything.

The Marbelle was just beautiful. It is a very well maintained historic home and what a pleasure to be able to stay there. The amenities were perfect and the host was exceptionally nice and helpful. I would recommend this home for anyone in the Pawhuska area. You won’t be disappointed.

United States of AmericaNOTHING could have been better! We were completely overwhelmed by everything.
James is definitely a super host. He greeted us at the door and offered to carry in our luggage! He even irons the bed linens! The rooms were charmingly decorated for the time period they represent. His narrative about the owner and the home's history was fascinating! Two presidents stayed there; the owner became the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury under President Truman! Many "little" details made this place exceptional. The entire house looked like an elegant step back in time! Rooms were immaculately clean, bathrooms sparkled (seriously); bathroom for Room C is huge! Huge CLEAN windows all around the bedroom that provided a view of the street. Shades to pull for privacy. Piano in the house! Huge TV in downstairs living room on at all times and gave a genuine feeling of this being a place to be very comfortable in. At the bottom of the stairway on the wall was a huge array of world clocks, each displaying the current in that city of the world. Example: London, Paris, Chicago, etc. Open self serving bar fully provided including a book with drink recipes! Refrigerator for storing food you might have left over from your travel. Complimentary beverages, water, soda. Two different formal dining rooms with eloquently set table ware, dishes, wine glasses just to even more elevate the mood of being in a very fine time in history for the stay at the Mabelle House! I am telling you, this place is unforgettable and stands way above anything we have experienced in Air BNB's.

United States of AmericaI have no complaints.
I would recommend the Mabelle in a heartbeat. James is definitely a superhost! From greeting you when you arrive to helping with your bags and delightful conversation mixed with letting you have private time. The on you honor bar is a nice bonus. There are perfect small touches in your room. Great lighting, cooling, very comfortable and homey, even with the grandeur of the beautiful home. Loved the side porch to enjoy the evening.

United States of AmericaI can't think of anything to make our stay better. It was delightful.
The house was absolutely beautiful and our host, James, made us feel so comfortable. The home has a wonderful historic past and decorated with lovely art and antiques. The bed linen smelled wonderful!! Asked James what he used and he let us in on his secret. The location is perfectly suited to visitors interested in enjoying the proximity to The Pioneer Woman Mercantile-just up the street in a quiet neighborhood. Would definetly go back to stay at The Mabelle.

CanadaA big beautiful old house meticulously kept. Great art on the walls, too! Gracious host who was happy to share the story of the original owner of the house. Books and information available about nearby attractions. I really felt welcome to use all of the common areas of the house: living room, kitchen, upstairs sitting room. Beautiful, tallgrass prairie with hiking trails a short drive away.

United States of AmericaThe Mabelle is extraordinary! The house is beautiful and very comfortable. James, our house host was so welcoming and happy to answer all of our many questions about the home and the town. Our trip was very last minute so I just booked The Mabelle on a whim. However, now that we have stayed there, I will never stay anywhere else when I am Pawhuska. I highly recommend it and I can not wait to return.

United States of AmericaPrivate bathroom for the twin bedroom isn't inside the room or right beside the room. (But, it wasn't too far of a trek to get to it and it beat sharing a bathroom with anyone.)
James was friendly and helpful. Room was stocked with bottles of water and a Keurig with some coffee pods and even had a chocolate on the pillows! Bed and pillows were comfy! Beautiful home! I would definitely recommend this to my friends!
