Found bubble gum in one of the power outlets, given that are not too many outlets, I had to get creative. The staff reacted immediately to addressing the issue for the next guest.

Unique and modern, lots of options given location.

Read the whole welcome letter.. lol This spot popped up on a search while driving. We'd Skied at Giants Ridge all day and I wasn't paying attention to the details. But all the info we needed was there.

We were traveling through The area and bought tickets to see Next to Normal at the Duluth. Playhouse, so finding lodging across the street was terrific. We were able to get good food at Pizza Luche after the performance within 2 blocks of the Oliver. Our room was just off the street and it was very quiet. It was $15 for 24 hours of parking in the nearby lot. Everything was comfortable efficient and pleasant

Parking wasn't ideal and walking through the many homeless inquiring about belongs as we carried them to hotel was unsetting. Also, walking through the hostess area of a restaurant was strange as well as the elevator floor numbering system.

We liked the historical features and cool ambience of the hotel. The free drink tickets were an added bonus because the bar at the hotel was unique and the live band (week night)was excellent as well as incredibly friendly bar staff.

I didn't like the neighborhood, as a solo traveler I made sure I was in my room before dark because I didn't feel safe out on the streets.

The room and facilities were great, I love the architecture and the Wasabi Restaurant was delicious!

The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner and well stocked. It was challenging that they were separate from the room but we were aware of that beforehand which helped.

It was a really unique and well located hotel for a great price- however the bathroom is a shared bathroom which wasn't stocked well and could use some attending to. But other than that we had a great time and loved the walkability to the waterfront as well as the fun speakeasy in the basement!

Booked this for a ski trip to Spirit Mountain with my teenage son. Parking should be negotiated with the ramp and included for guests. Who wants to pay every time you come/go? Didn't care for the shared bathroom. Booking. com said cancellations were ok but staff wasn't having it. No staff on duty, only was able to contact through phone chat. We never checked in but paid for the room anyway, Scam. I miss the Voyageurs Inn,

    It's in Duluth.

We didn't like the idea of it not having any windows, what we we have done had there been a fire... The room had no air exchange, no A/C like the Manager said there would be.. Didn't know the rooms didn't have any bathrooms in them, having to share the shower room was not what we wanted to be doing... Having to go in by the Sushi restaurant, no one to assist etc. Was never given the WiFi pass code, TV was hopeless...

Only thing that was convenient was that the Motel was right across the street from the Cadino...

there was no window in our room and the ac was momentarily broken(although a fan was provided). mostly I didn’t like the fact that the bathroom wasn’t part of the room and was shared with other 3 rooms.

the location was near numerous premises in town, and the interior of the room were cozy and intimate.

This was one of the most unique and memorable experience we have had in all of our travels. I am always looking for somewhere to stay that is a little different than a regular hotel room. The Oliver exceeded my expectations. We had a room with a share bathroom which was just fine. Our room was large and cozy, and did have a sink which was nice. Check-in is virtual so if you don't receive an email prior to your stay, call the hotel and they will send it to you. The instructions were very easy to follow. To add to your experience, visit the Speakeasy Lounge downstairs for a nice relaxing cocktail. You won't regret making the decision to stay at The Oliver!
