Almost zero view of ocean and I requested ocean view, the heat was really hard to regulate, we had to move a super heavy chair out of the way to find the heater, there was a gap under door so drafty, super noisy, you could hear the pipes when other guests took showers

The beds were comfy, the bathroom was decent the size of room was good the breakfast was perfect and the lobby coffee was excellent

The room was clean enough, but things like the tub grout were old and it showed. The room was kinda musty, but that is to be expected from these old buildings, with minimal ventilation.

Great Location, walk to the tide pools/beach and historic lighthouse. For the price, we got what we expected. The staff was friendly, overall good value.

Clean rooms, fairly comfortable beds. Actually had smart tv’s that could be used as such. Rooms had real keys, something I haven’t seen in years!

They did not offer breakfast as listed, the sliding screen door did not close due to being off the tracks and there were ants all over the room.

I loved the locations, the staff was fantastic and I loved the sliding glass door room entry. It was very close to the beach and downtown. It is also located next to a great little resturant.

Our fridge in 106 leaked the entire time we were there. We put towels by it and it soaked the carpet too. Not a huge deal but the fridge still worked for us. This is just a preference for myself, but the bed was so stiff. It was hard to sleep at night with all the outdoor noises (foot steps, people talking, and cars). The heater was behind the big chair on the wall so we had to move the chair every time we wanted to use the heater.

The room was spacious, balcony was very nice, and the walking distance to places is great.

Too much bird droppings on stairs on way up to room - had to hold heavy suitcases up so as to not drag wheels thru bird crud

the so called breakfast (a croisant in a box) is not a good idea.

a croisant (in a box) is not my breakfast so best to bring your own as we did. The beds are perfect (firm) and room is super quiet. Big screen TV.

It was a bit rundown. The rooms are very humid. It had to be constantly aired out the bathroom and was quite worn with a little bit more maintenance, it would have looked considerably better.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower didn’t work properly. In order to have a shower, I needed the bath run at the same time. This seems like an awful waste of water!

The rooms could use a bit of an update they are looking a little tired and the bathrooms are small. Our friend’s room had a door that was the sliding window onto the walkway which was not so good. The breakfast box croissants were a little dry and could have used some jam or marmalade.

We liked the size of our room- it was a king suite with a balcony. It was clean and had a nice outlook. It was quiet. We liked being able to walk by the lighthouse to the beaches. We also walked down the beautiful coast paths to Monterey.

Unfortunately I had a hard time with the musty smell. I have smelled it before when my girls went to camp and stayed at cabins. We even bought a plug on air freshener but didn't help much. The furniture is. Bit dated too.

The location and the size of the room. I liked that it had a fridge and microwave and a boxed breakfast to take with you. The place was clean also and the courtyard was nice.

Bed was comfy but worn mattress cover and box springs uncovered and bare which felt odd. Shutters on patio door are nice looking for beachy airy vibe but make for a very bright morning. Staff not on site after 6pm until morning. I would stay here again though.

Cute quaint property nestled in a neighborhood very close to beautiful beaches. Second story room had large deck with great view of ocean and high ceiling in room. Not fancy but I thought it was nice for the price.
