One downside is there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. Wish I knew that before booking as I have walking issues and stairs were more than an inconvenience.

It's right along a main road, but the noise didn't actually bother us.

This was a last minute booking for us, but we couldn't have been happier. The library with the fireplace was lovely. Our room was big and comfortable. Staff was friendly and competent.

The bed would slide some while sitting up in it reading or watching TV.

We liked everything!

The newly updated hotel was decorated well and very clean. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and loved the walk in shower. Also the towels were of great quality & size- nice addition. The staff was also friendly & pleasant.

Our only complaint was that we were placed on a first-floor room near an additional entrance/exit door. The door slammed loudly and shook our room every time it shut. Would highly recommend having the hotel fix this to close softly.

The hotel is very comfortable and clean. It was decorated nicely for the holidays and the rooms and common areas were spotless. Loved that the TV had built-in Chromecast so we could easily stream whatever we wanted to watch to the TV. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Newport (10-minute drive) or other East Bay towns (20 minutes to Bristol).

Excellent in every way. The common areas had books in shelves for perusing. Rooms are large and ours had a view of the large grassy area in back. The on-site restaurant was so convenient and the food is delicious.

bar on sat night closed too early. bartender turned hotel guests away at 10:30 on a sat night. she also talked too much while we sat there. bartender shouldn’t be so self centered and we learned more about her and her life than I care to know. wished there would have been nice jazz playing lights a bit lower and a more chill vibe. felt like she was working all day and wanted to close up.

There is no elevator (however the staff got us a room on the first floor so we didn’t have to carry our stuff and the baby up the stairs without even asking!) we also wasn’t fond of the fact that the shower had no place to put your shampoo and soap it had to go on the ground of the shower.

They need to fix the shower valve and or water heater, had a warm, NOT hot shower in room 256. Came out of the shower cold.... that is literally almost my only complaint. The other is the restaurant charged a ridiculous amount of money for a small portion of food. It was restuarant week and they were running low on food. They should have not offered the steak. We were charged $34 for three little pieces of steak. x 2 people. I would have rather had the option to order something else.

There was a restaurant and bar at the property. We had breakfast, dinner and drinks in one location. It was a new, clean and a good location. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent.

Wrote in the special comments it was mine and my wife’s honeymoon and the staff didn’t apparently read that until a day after we checked in. On the third floor there are lights under the roof that shine into your room the ENTIRE time and it looked like day time regardless of the shades they put in the window. If they ask if you mind being on third floor say YES AND DO NOT TAKE NO FOR ANSWER

No elevator sucked, having to walk two flights every day if you’re on third floor gets annoying especially after enjoying way too much of the delicious local food, room and facilities were great.
