Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis hotel is an old monastery that was converted into a hotel. We enjoyed the hotel and the surrounding area. We plan to stay here again next time we're in Pittsburg.

United KingdomLocation, felt very uneasy about venturing out as the area had a lot of homeless people Breakfast is a real let down.Grab and Go is not what you expect for the price.
Beautiful characterful boutique hotel, excellent tour of Grand Hall by Michael.. Courtyard was a hidden gem that the hotel didn't seem to promote.

United States of AmericaWe loved the historical significance and beauty of the priory. The hallways and rooms smelled pleasant and fresh, and the rooms were very clean. Also the patio area was a nice place to just sit outside and relax.

United States of AmericaParking was free and very close. It is a gravel lot without marked spaces and people parked in a way that minimized the ability to park all the cars that needed to be in the lot.
The staff was exceptional. They went above what was expected to meet the needs of their guest.

HungaryThe breakfast was good, but the arrangement was strange. We were asked in the evening what we would like to have. We got this in a paper bag in the refectory, but it was not clear whether we were expected to consume it there or in the room. There were no kitchenware in the refectory, therefore we ate in the room.
Nice looking hotel and rooms, historic building.

United States of AmericaI have stayed in this hotel several times. This is not the first time I have been treated coldly by the same person at the checkout...
I like living in old houses. The ceilings of the rooms are high, which makes me feel good.

United States of AmericaI wasn’t impressed with the grab and go breakfast … the fruit was rotten. And you really don’t know what you’re getting .
Loved that this hotel had a shuttle that took us to and from the hotel so our car never had to move. Also loved that this hotel had a gated parking lot for your vehicle.

LatviaHomeless people were having fun in the park opposite the hotel, but they left at midnight. In the morning they were there again. I was a little afraid
A wonderful hotel, in an ancient building, with a great courtyard. Everything is in perfect order and cleanliness. Interesting bar and good cocktails. Walking distance from the city center. Good parking right in front of the entrance door. We arrived late in the evening and were served a light dinner

GermanyIn room number 222 the bathroom was to small and the basin in the room very unpractical so was the bed. In room 103 was a table and a chest of drawers missing. It was hard to find a place to put the sunglasses, handbag and keys somewhere. And to close the curtains was not so easy.
The hotel has a great atmosphere and the Staff is very attentive. But still the last touch in the rooms is missing to make you feel comfortable. The car park was very close. The opportunity to refill at the water dispenser is good. We liked the size of room number 103
