Great location, everything was clean and nice. The bed had a noticeable slant towards the middle but other than that it was fine. The living room could use better lighting for the evening. It was a great spot for what we needed!

TVs in each room would have been great but not a dealbreaker!

The location is great! Close to RU and shopping areas.

The Purple Door gave us a nice home-like space to visit our son.

Grove Ave. is a major cut-through with cars going extremely fast (and loud) after coming up the hill. We would have liked some small tables to use in the tv room.

Very cute house with all the basic necessities plus a few extras. It was nice to be within a mile of our son’s apartment, so visiting was simple.

Grove Avenue is a busy street, lot of traffic. It wasn't terrible, just a little surprised at it.

we were a little concerned about the roosters next door.

the property was clean and had all the space we hoped for and reasonably priced

Nothing at all to dislike, but as someone from a more southern state, I did notice that there was no air conditioning in the home. I’d check with the owner if I was visiting in the summer months to make sure there is a window or freestanding AC unit available during that time of year, but maybe that’s more common in Virginia (I’ve never seen a house without any AC before, so it stood out to me). Upstairs guests staying at the same time as us were noisy, but that’s easily fixed with a noise machine or earplugs if it bothers you.

I visited with my teenager for a college visit, and the Purple Door was exceptionally close to Radford University campus. Cute place, roomy (could easily accommodate a family of 4-6), parking just steps from the entrance. Owners were very friendly, accommodated an early check-in for us that they didn’t have to, and were quickly responsive when I had a question. Nice big TV and comfy couches made for a cozy movie night in yucky weather! My kiddo said she’d like to live there. :) We’d love to stay here again when we return to Radford.

Convenient location, nice kitchen, bring earplugs :)

We could hear everything going on upstairs, outside, on the street, etc. This is not the fault of the Host, it's an older townhome and to be expected. Just bring ear plugs if you like it a bit quieter. The only things I would say that may be on the "didn't like" side is 1) the dust and cobwebs on the ceiling fans and light fixtures and 2) the back door's deadbolt lock does not work. The standard doorknob lock does; however, I was a little apprehensive because it looked like it had been broken into before.

The townhome is in a good location that was easy to access. The check-in was extremely quick and easy. I appreciated the Host's communication and checking to make sure everything was in order when we arrived. The kitchen and dining area are large and well equipped and would be great for a family dinner. The eat-in kitchen has a cute 2-person table and chairs in addition to the larger dining room table.
