Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room was tired. I get that it's old and a classic but the beds were "tired" not comfortable. The carpet was worn and the furniture was chipped. I'm all about the ambiance, but for the price you pay to stay on the Queen Mary, I think the little touches could be improved.
The Queen Mary is a classic ocean liner. We loved the restaurants and walking the decks, lots of exhibits and displays, but you are on a floating museum after all.

United States of AmericaWhat was bad was: our room was very cold!! No heat!! That should have been disclosed. Half of the rooms have AC the other half heat. I had house keeping bring us 2 blankets for the freezing bed..I actually went to bed with my slippers on.in booking the room that issue should have been stated. Please refund me something for that non-disclosure. The only place to get a breakfast was Starbucks. Dining room only dinners.
Loved seeing The Queen sparking with new paint inside and out. Dinner was very nice.. Service excellent. Guided or self tours good. Display in glass cases of miniature of other grand boats of the past. Just beautiful. We thought parking was going to be $30 but we were just waved through..no charge. WOW!! A piano player added to the general ambiance while walking through the Main Hall. All shops were open with beautiful momentos and lovely original items to view. AA

United States of AmericaThe coffee shop was supposed to open at 6:30, we had a flight and was needing a snack and coffee, when they finally opened at 645, I went in the coffee shop and made a comment about them opening late and the young man was rude and said “it is what it is”, which is not the professional thing to have said. I feel like the carpet could be updated in the rooms and hallways, our room had a musty smell. We definitely enjoyed our tour guide, he was funny and knew a lot about the ship.
We loved the history, tours and all the things to see.

United States of AmericaNot the room I thought I booked. I was suppose to have a sitting area. Only one chair and no table. Mentioned to receptionist. No change made. Noisy bathroom vent that blew all night long. The food at the Promenade Cafe was pretty bad. Wilted salad. Red hot peppers in my Ruben Sandwich. Sprimp was milly from being frozen to long. It was freezing in the lobby with door open on the cold day. They over booked the Ghost tour with 32 people . Not much time to view special areas because we all had to rush through each place.
Room service was great! Requested an extra blanket and it came right away. Bed was comfortable. Staff were all clean and polite. The ship was very clean. Nice shops. A big improvement!

CanadaI didn't like that you can't control the temperature in your room, no air conditioning. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room as well.
I loved the ship itself. The fact that it is historical and preserved. It's like walking back in time.

United States of AmericaThis is a living museum, and it's well worth paying to stay on board! The ship allows guests to access so much of the ship. We spent hours exploring! The mid-ship marketplace is great, and we had a fine dinner at The Promenade Cafe. The rooms aren't like many expect rooms to be today for the price one pays to stay on board. The bed sagged a bit, and a lot of caulk is used around tubs, etc. for repair. That's ok. They are clean, basic. You're paying for the experience, and to maintain an important maritime museum.

United KingdomNot a didn't like more of a 'it would have been nice'. The tours around the ship are open to the public which is great but it would be nice if out of the multiple tours that say a couple were included if you were a resident of the ship sure not all of them but say two. Also there isn't a resident only lounge and out of all the beautiful rooms again it would have been nice if one was for people staying on the ship only. That also may encourage more people to book a stay rather than just day trip to the ship.
room was fantastic, if anything the room was too nice as you want to spend time in the room to enjoy it but there is also a lot of ship to explore and admire, you almost need more than one night to take it all in and give it the time it deserves.
