Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms were dated and didn’t feel clean. The AC unit spewed out air that smelt incredibly musty, indicating mold or mildew which isn’t the safest.
One of the few hotels in Death Valley, decent location to explore the rest of the NP and the grounds felt like an oasis in the middle of the desert.

United States of AmericaFront desk staff appeared to be rather indifferent to sundry clients waiting to check in. I eventually went to another person at the front desk and all went smoothly.
Excellent location, beautiful grounds, swell 1849 buffet, comfortable room with AC and fridge, large warm pool really was the icing on the cake.

United States of AmericaIt was dirty in the rooms. Even when we first arrived, the bathroom floor had stains like it hadn't been mopped in a while. The hallway on the way to the rooms was very dirty. For the price, it could have been cleaner. Also the food was very expensive. The rooms were roomy and partly remodeled, but some things were almost falling apart
Location was very good. The outside grounds were very well taken care. Good amount of amenities.

United States of AmericaCarpet old. Cost was not something ordinary families will bear easily, so the mission of having the park accessible for most Americans will not be met with these prices. Breakfast and other items pricey, even considering location. Front desk staff least extending of all staff, not the best first impression.
Breakfast was good. Grounds were terrific, safety and quiet were wonderful. Setting, recreation availability was very good. Room was very clean, booking process was easy.

LuxembourgWe arrived after the sunset on the nearby sunset spot, checked in, and then discovered the restaurants were no longer accepting diners! Except the buffet restaurant, which was not good quality food, but passable.
The property was really an Oasis in the desert. We appreciated the gardens and the pool area very much.

United KingdomThe noise of the air conditioner was too much, especially from adjacent rooms. My main problem, as a vegetarian, was that there was very little on offer in the restaurants or in the shop.

United States of AmericaNo way to drive your car to the room so we had to drag our stuff to/from the parking lot, it was quite inconvenient; Pool was not cleaned, the bottom looked quite dirty and for a nice place like that you pay top dollar, it would be so much better had they cleaned it fully.
It is a nice oasis. We stayed at the cottages and that was nice with the living room space separate from the bedrooms. Felt very nice. Might be work upgrading to cottages instead of regular rooms. Pool water temps were great so you can take a swim in the evening hours and enjoy it. Close driving distance to any famous spots in Death Valley. Saloon food was better than expected. Based on reviews, I expected the worst and it was not bad. Enjoyed the ribs and very crispy fries.
