On-site parking was a little slight, but there is an ample parking lot across the side street. I would prefer a coffee pot in the room, but it was nice to meet the owners and staff for a morning conversation each day, in the coffee shop. Being an older establishment, the stairs are not very deep, so they can be a challenge going down for an older person.

The owners and staff were very friendly and personable. It had a restaurant and coffee shop on premises, as well as sells domestic and craft beers and wine. The free bottle of wine was a nice touch and they allowed my wife to swap it for something that she really likes. Although the coffee shop is open to the public, the coffee is free for guests. It is conveniently located about 1 mile from downtown, so it was easy getting to everything. There is a park across the street that goes to the water for sunsets. Besides their restaurant which is almost like dining in a library (the food was excellent), there is another place 2 blocks away.

A/C was not controllable from room, but temperature always comfortable, it’s close to road so you can hear cars a bit but it’s expected.

We were in town for our nieces wedding, larger hotel chains prices were ridiculous. My sister in law found The Reserve Retreat (unfortunately she had to cancel), so my wife and I booked room along with daughter and son in law. The location is great! Rooms were comfortable, large and clean. Staff very friendly, and great. food is so good! Owner is friendly and nice. It’s locally owned and operated so that’s a plus for us.

The shower needs to have a shelf for all the toiletries and a heavier curtain liner.

The room was very clean and roomy. Our King size bed was comfortable and soft. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to enjoy a patio concert on the property.

The beds were so comfortable! The owner and team were absolutely wonderful to work with! You have to have dinner at the restaurant the food was fabulous! The crab bisque soup was absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to come back here and stay again.💞

Property was in a very good location for our first visit to Sarasota. Close to many local attractions, downtown, and the beautiful bay. Our room was well equipped with an updated bath while retaining the character & charm of a historic home. The breakfast was fresh & delicious. Sarah and her staff made us feel welcomed and provided outstanding service.

Sometimes the traffic at he roundabout nearby was loud, but at night it was very quiet.

Breakfast was fantastic! Good service and the food was delicious. Old Florida character with a nice courtyard where the restaurant is located. Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable. Well equipped kitchenette. Bathroom was clean and had a nice walk-in shower. Location was within walking distance of some restaurants, grocery store, waterfront and art gallery.

This is an unexpected treasure in a sea of touristy hotels and chain restaurants. The only comment would be the stairs! Our room was on the top floor and the stairs are steep. I had my small dog with me and going up and down multiple times was a challenge for my 70-yr. old knees. Otherwise, everything was cozy and delightful.

We have no complaints regarding our stay.

Spacious king rooms, has kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee shop on 1st floor and dinning just across the patio. We enjoyed everything about our stay and would definitely recommend. MUCH better than hotel.

The staff is wonderful, the place is Lovely, very quaint, it has a lot of character. Good energy and vibes. The Jazz night is a very nice experience. The food and wine list very good.
