Convenient walking distance to downtown. We didn't get to have breakfast at the Respite but the voucher they provided got us an excellent breakfast at the Gold Rush.

Lovely place, hostess was very attentive. We needed a place to rest during a snow storm and this was the perfect place.

The beds are quite firm. They are in great shape and very clean. A lot of people prefer firm beds. I just like more of a memory foam style bed. The website says a shared fridge in the kitchen and a mini-fridge in your room. When you get there, it is made clear that the kitchen is off limits to guests except for 8-10 a.m. (breakfast time) so you only have access to the mini-fridge if you're staying as part of the B & B, not an event. The website also says there is off-street parking but to park to the left to leave room for the tenant. The morning of your reservation you recieve a message to only park on-street and that parking is reserved for events only. I just feel like the website should be more upfront about the difference between booking a B & B or hosting an event. I wish check-in was a little earlier than 4 since check-out is 10 a.m. But the website was upfront about the times. I have nothing negative to say whatsoever about the premises and its cleanliness. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

The home was beautiful! It was quiet and relaxing. Even though it was a B&B, it was private and comfortable. It was immaculate there and they even left a special little complimentary treat in our room. I felt comfortable to relax on the shared patio and lounge in the shared spaces. It felt like a home away from home. That was exactly what we were seeking. The home is part of historic downtown and it shows with its updated rooms while keeping the historical elements of the home. It has a wow-factor when you walk in but you easily feel comfortable and relaxed to be there. Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy and no dust to be seen even though there are bookshelves throughout the home loaded with fascinating antique books. The piano room and billiards room was my favorite part of the house. We didn't end up playing pool but will make time next time we stay.

The only negative I have is not necessarily a negative. It’s personal preference. The beds we stayed on were firmer than I am used to. My daughter loves a firm bed so she thought they were fantastic!

Beautiful home, very clean, met the cleaner and the owner, both were very nice. The owner cooked us breakfast one of the days and we used vouchers for local bakeries the other days. Both were fantastic! It was very affordable. We were supposed to be there two nights and ended up staying 4!

The only thing that could have been better was the room temperature. It was an unseasonably warm day/night & we were uncomfortably warm in our room & it did not have an individual temperature control option. But, we understood that such is the nature of a historic property that has limited HVAC customization in separate spaces.

Loved the location, ease of entry after hours with personal codes, space & comfort of the room. Very appreciative of the breakfast vouchers to Gold Rush Cafe, too!

There isn’t a person on site for assistance, but they are very prompt to respond to texts, so it really wasn’t a problem.

The property is large, very clean and bright, and beautifully furnished. All the rooms are large and comfortable. They provided a nice breakfast, and when we wanted to eat one morning outside of the B&B, they provided $10 vouchers for each person to a great breakfast place nearby.
