To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

The facilities, lounge restaurant and room wete amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive. This was a highlight for me… The Ritz-Carlton New York needs to take a lesson from these guys. My experience there was shocking… but San Francisco RC made up for it.

United States of AmericaThe scent or perfume when you walk in the door is absolutely awful . It smells cheap and cloying . I’ve been to excellent hotels that have proprietary scents and they are usually very good . Ett Hemm in Stockholm or Sanders in Copenhagen. The scent at the Ritz made me want to hold my nose walking in and out of the lobby . It’s tacky .

United States of AmericaThe length of time it took to get housekeeping to bring extra pillows. The terrible service in the lobby bar where we were grabbing a quick meal at 4pm before seeing Sting with the SF Symphony. Nothing came on. Time or in the proper order. The food & beverage manager did not help or make it right, but we were impressed by the assistant Food & Beverage Manager Carlos Gomez who saw what happened and how his boss did not handle things well. He sent a box of chocolates along with a hand written note apologizing for the bad experience. He represented the Ritz Carlton in the way we expect and respect. Kiddos to him. He did a much better job than the food & beverage manager. And the waiter was terrible. I’ve had him before and he’s been ok. We were not in during any Valentine’s rush and the place was empty.
The rooms, amenities and staff at front desk are lovely.

United States of AmericaThe only thing I could offer suggestion about maybe it would be better to store the extra towels away from the toilet. That’s because I heard that every flush can aerosolize waste. Wherever we didn’t need to use any extras this visit.
The service was top-notch. The bed was so comfortable that I slept 7-1/2 - 8 hours, and that usually doesn’t happen in a hotel the first night. The breakfast may have been the best I ever had. The room itself was beautiful with lovely white marble bathroom.

The bar was great, the small wine tasting experience was great, Diva is very knowledgeable and a great host. The location is great just a few blocks from Market street, and the ferry building and right around the corner from China town. There is even a cable car stop.
