Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNot sure if it was the heater or the vents in the bathrooms but there was so much noise while we were trying to sleep. It was very disappointing. In addition to that, which has nothing to do with the place is the person next door was snoring from 10 pm to 6am. The walls are extremely thing so you can hear everything .
Clean and organised. Close the most tourist attractions.

Fun little place, however it doesn't seem to be a bar like the one on the pictures anymore.

United States of AmericaThe lock box doesn’t work well. I also would have liked to experience all parts of the hostel. Since I had the studio I had no access to the dining/bar area. I was really looking forward to sitting there getting work done. Other than that I felt it was a great place and I would recommend it to others.
I didn’t see any of the property other than the room I had. I stayed in the downstairs studio. It was very very cute and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were also cute.

FranceThe fact that the bathroom is shared is not clearly advertised (even though the place is indeed labelled as an hostel). The hostel is just next a road with a lot of traffic, and one windows of our room could not properly close, meaning we heard the cars loudly.
The room and building is very lovely and nicely decorated. The bathtub was really nice, with foam, soap and bath salt available. There are some nice restaurant just next to the hostel and a small kitchen with free coffee available in the hostel. Even though the bathroom is shared, it is not a big issue as it is only shared with another room. One of the best place I stayed at in LA for that price, I will definitely come back next time I am in LA.

United States of AmericaI think the room would benefit from a better reading lamp. The atmospheric lighting, while nice for taking a bath, is rather difficult to use for reading. The suite didn't include shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, so I had to go downstairs to find them in the shared shower. The windows didn't close properly, so the noise of the adjacent traffic was unavoidable while sleeping.
Great location, unique charm, easy check-in process

United States of AmericaSuper loud cleaning staff on phone at all hours of night, walls were so thin I could hear next door "neighbor" snoring, didn't realize there would be no windows anywhere. Keurig didn't work.
Obviously beautiful and thoughtful decor. Opulent and vintage everything which I love.

United States of AmericaDecoration was great except carpet in rooms. Why go through all the trouble of making a place look nice and then throw scratchy outdoor carpet on the floor? TV would also be nice to have in rooms.
Easy self check-in/check-out. Inexpensive, nicely renovated and interestingly decorated. Decent size rooms and comfortable beds. Good internet connection. Extras included like soaps, deodorant, toothbrushes and coffee/ tea. Location is great for exploring East Hollywood, Silver Lake area.

The hotel is very unique. It looks more like a boutique hostel. It’s very dark inside and gives retro vibes. It was very clean and had a coffee maker and some other stuff for the bathroom

CanadaThe walls are VERY thin here. They do offer earplugs but even with earplugs in I could hear the folks talking in the room next to us clearly until 3AM one night and midnight another night. I did appreciate that they provide earplugs. It is somewhat difficult also with there being no one on site to ask guests to quiet down, etc.
The Rosemary is such a cool spot. The space is really eclectic and exactly what you expect from the photos. If you love the photos you’ll love the vibe once you get there. The facilities were clean and we felt safe in the area! Very accessible to various spots in LA as well :)
