Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt would have been nice to have a television to watch. Not that we wold have spent a lot of time in front of it, based on our plans, but having that option available to catch up on things at the end of the day would have been good.
Our trip and stay in Cambria was a surprise birthday gift for my fiance, not knowing this was a place she had wanted to visit for a long time, so surely a win for me. The ambiance with the surrounding flowers and trees made the place very serene and calming. The accommodations were nice with a built in rustic feel to the property. The hostess was friendly and informative. The continental breakfast gave us a nice little start to the day.

United States of AmericaThe location was perfect walking distance to everything in town, the room was sparking clean, the staff was super friendly, check in/out was seamless! The price cannot be beat anywhere! And the most wonderful touch was breakfast. In the US, when hotels say “breakfast included” you picture cheap coffee, a bowl of bananas and oranges, cereal and, if you’re lucky, one of those waffle makers where you add a plastic cup full of batter, rotate it and then wait for the timer to go off. This was an actual REAL home-cooked breakfast with poached eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, toast, two types of jam, coffee, orange juice that tasted fresh squeezed, yogurt, fresh berries and granola! This was not an add on purchase, it was included in the price of the room. This stay was the best value I’ve had since I can remember. The only negative thing I can say is that because the house was built in the late 1800s it is not insulated like todays buildings and so you can hear a lot of sounds. That being said, I slept like a rock in the very comfortable bed while the gas fireplace kept our room toasty warm. Don’t hesitate for a second to book here!

United States of AmericaI would like to see breakfast hours extended. When we travel we like to have a leisurely start of the day and enjoy the cozy beds!
The property is lovely. This time we stayed in the Historic Squibb House accommodations. Reminds me of grandma’s house. We want to stay in the Parlor Room next! We are local but love our Staycations.

United States of AmericaWifi was not terribly reliable during our one day there. The loft unit also gets fairly warm, even on a cool spring day, thanks to the sky lights. Sky lights do offer some wonderful sunlight in, though.
Beautiful BnB in a beauitful town in a beautiful part of California. Bed was very comfortable. Rocking chairs very comfortable. Included breakfast was pretty good. Great location and very convenient.

We didn't eat breakfast here, as we explored the town and chose to eat elsewhere, but we stopped in and it looked wonderful! Plenty of food and variety! We loved to house, the room, the location! It felt like stepping back in time! Highly recommend it

United States of AmericaNot complaining but, I had to relight the pilot flame for the heater in our room, and that’s all.
Our room had all the comforts of a real home. It reminded me so much of my grandmothers house way back in the days. And everything that makes it comfortable to enjoy a meal was presented at the breakfast table. Though it was nothing special, what made it great was the simplicity, like in times past. Guests were sociable, staff was very friendly, helpful, warm.. I could write more.

Wonderfully maintained historic home just off the Main Street area. Comfortable, quiet, relaxing stay. Parking on street or in back for a few more. A great variety for breakfast was served each day. Afternoon cookies cakes served. Easy walk to shops and restaurants plus easy access to drive to beaches and hikes. Clydesdale horse riding nearby is perfect too. Highly recommend!
