We arrived on a very hot day and our room was pretty warm initially and was slow to cool down. As it is an old house we didn't have climate control in the individual rooms.

The Truitt is impeccably decorated. We were blown away by how thoughtfully everything was arranged and we wanted to own every piece of furniture in the place ourselves. Absolutely beautiful. Flawless even. Our room was perfect and the Christopher Elbow chocolates were a delightful surprise. The location was perfect for us art nerds who wanted to be able to walk to the museums. We will definitely be back when we come through Kansas City again.

Very unique room. Loved it. Contactless entry and exit. Did call the hosts once and they answered immediately. Saw them later in common area and they were very cordial. Large bathroom with great shower! Nicely updated. Loved the little coffee/treat bar. The coffee (cappuccino/espresso?) was unexpectedly great. Outdoor patio was absolutely darling. We would have spent time there but it was too chilly. Loved it and would stay again.

I'm not sure there is room for improvement in this rare case. It is an extraordinary place, super clean, and the decor was just amazing. I'd recommend adding some records for the player. This was the first thing my husband did when we got to the room (he wanted to dance) but records were in bad shape. This is not a big deal though.

This was a fantastic boutique hotel. We were visiting for our anniversary, and my husband arranged for champagne and flowers in our room. We were also offered a complimentary room upgrade. The room was more like a suite, with a separate living area from the bedroom. It was beautifully decorated, and the bed was one of the coziest we've experienced. The cappuccino in the morning and light breakfast offerings individually wrapped were a great bonus. We were so close to town by car, but didn't know enough about the area to do much walking. I recommend a car for the area. The hosts were responsive, very courteous and made us feel welcome. There were snacks and beverages in the room for purchase which is nice when you don't feel like leaving. They also provided some complimentary chocolates and bottles of water. We highly recommend, and would love to visit again in the future.

Our room had a bit of an odd smell to it (probably due to the historical old home), this was not anything that was a huge problem for us.

Our room and the entire property was beautiful and unique. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly and communication with the owners was easy and contactless. I enjoyed the contactless entry and we especially enjoyed the beautiful patio connected to our rooms. The espresso machine was a lovely touch for my morning coffee.

Absolutely nothing!

Decor was stunning. Loved the eclectic mix of fixtures and furnishings. Shared the bed with my daughter and was cozy and comfortable. Close to everything we were in the city for. We ate supper on the plaza at 6 and then headed straight back, just to RELAX! The deep charcoal room was bold and beautiful. The chocolates were divine.
