Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaEverything was perfect.
The complimentary breakfast that gave you choices was nice. The outside bar was very convenient and beautiful. Hotel was within walking distance of a good amount of attractions. Beautiful rooms with antique preserved fixtures in the bathrooms. Everyone was nice and it was very clean.

United KingdomAfter enjoying an evening in the outdoor bar on the Friday, we were excited to eat here again, but it was closed on the Sat, Sun night which was very disappointing. There was a power cut on the Sunday night which led to us waking up on the Monday with no power in the hotel, no emergency lights in corridor, had to use phone to guide ourselves out of the room, spent the day at the space centre, back to the hotel about 5pm only to find power still out and we had to transfer hotel on our last night, not ideal, but out of hotels control I guess.
Bed was super comfy. Location for getting out and about was great. Breakfast and female staff member who made the best coffee was great. Really enjoyed the outdoor bar on the Friday night, cocktails were great and the food was amazing, totally intended eating and drinking here again. We were expecting a parcel to be delivered to the hotel and unfortunately it arrived after we had gone back to Scotland. We had spoken with John and another member of front desk staff who assured us they would take parcel and contact us to arrange delivery back to UK and we would arrange payment etc. Unfortunately after we had left I heard nothing from the hotel. I emailed John Flores and received no reply, I emailed reception no reply, so this was very disappointing, after being advised they would look after this for us. However I called the hotel and had the great fortune to be transferred to the amazing Amy Nguyen, she was absolutely fantastic. She arranged the FedEx transportation of our parcel, she kept in touch with me for 2 weeks, due to some difficulties with FedEx and the parcel. She is an absolute credit to this hotel and the main reason for the top review on staff and hotel. She went over and above and deserves recognition for her help. So once again Amy, thank you so much.

United KingdomI chose The Whitehall because I need a downtown hotel and it seemed to offer better VFM than other hotels. I was very pleased with the hotel the staff were very well trained and efficient. My room was very spacious and well appointed. I had breakfast at Edgar's Hermano at the Hotel every morning. It was excellent.

United KingdomThe noise of sirens on the roads through the night was disturbing. Other than that, can't fault it.
An upgrade was offered to a bigger room which was super. Great bathroom and shower. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, the bar and cafe staff got to know my favourite drinks quickly. The Sotherly host was very friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaWe were right by the elevator and here every time the elevator open and closed. Anytime anyone around us opening and close the door we could hear it as well. We woke up several times to people screaming in the hallways. The bathroom is really small , But clean.
The bed was comfortable. The staff is friendly. downstairs was beautiful and the patio was fun with a nice ambience.

PolandI think I have just one complaint. Even though I booked the room for four people and it was advertised as 'breakfast included' it wasn't included at first. I had to ask staff about it and the lady at the counter wasn't too happy fulfilling my request. I was given only two vouchers for a breakfast even though the room, as I said earlier, was booked for four. The lady explained it's their policy and she can only give me two vouchers... So, keep that in mind if you go there with larger group. The breakfast itself will cost you around $20 otherwise. Basically, in this regard it's far below what you'll get for a 4*, or even 3* run of the mill hotel in Europe.
I chose the hotel mainly because it offered great price in the city center, with walkable distance to Toyota Center. It's located in what seems to be a financial district so it's very quiet and the area seems to be super safe.

United States of AmericaNo huge issues but there was practically an entire wall of outlets in the room that did not work, so we had to alternate charging our devices at the nightstand. Very small bathroom. Long wait for the elevators. No mini fridge or microwave in the room.
Hotel is located on the "outskirts" of downtown, so a lot less foot and vehicle traffic. The lobby looked nice. Hotel appeared clean in the areas we visited. Saw many reviews about the valet parking but there is a covered garage right next door that we used. Quick check in and checkout.

United KingdomNothing really, but just as feedback; The hotel corridors could do with a bit of refreshment, but that didn't bother me or influence my general impression of the hotel. I was working a fair bit in my room, and just a bit stronger light would be good.
The room had all the things expected and required. Great with ironing board, iron, and hairdryer. Work space came handy, and the bed was very comfy. Facilities were nice, outside bar with live music as well as breakfast restaurant- both with lovely staff! Thank you Vicky! I would stay here again if I return to Houston.

United States of AmericaThe bathrooms are perhaps a bit small although well organized. There is no rack to dry the towel after a shower. Some of the amenities did not work properly (e.g. room safe did not operate at all, one of the faucets was loose, and the wifi signal was very weak on the 11th floor). Finally, in the morning, as things get quite busy, the elevator wait can be very long especially for those on the upper floors of the hotel.
The hotel offers clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious rooms. The mattress is firm but not too hard. The pillows are soft but not too much so. The bathroom offers body wash, shampoo and hair conditioner. The hotel is located at the southern end of downtown Houston, but within an easy walking distance to all of the downtown area. Moreover, getting an Uber/Lyft never required a wait longer than 5 minutes for trips outside of downtown.
