Room was great & bed was very comfortable but the view was of multi lane highways, plural. Couldn’t open any windows due to proximity of roads and I’m quite sure that the drivers at the traffic lights could watch me (if they wanted to!) sitting on the loo

Beautifully renovated property in a lovely historic area of Boston

For the price we paid, room was a bit small, they are making the most of the space they have and for one night would have been fine but we were there for 3 nights so it felt a bit squished

Excellent location, spotlessly clean, attention to detail, welcoming helpful staff, an all round great place to stay.

Nothing really. A little offputting that late checkout or early checkin by just a bit is $75. You get a menu of extras before you even check in, which feels overpriced, but I get it. Hotel is lovely overall.

The location is great, and the hotel is quite elegant. I'm not sure it fits my perception of a 5-star hotel, but it actually offered a very competitive rate by Boston's standards, and it was definitely more pleasant than a big-chain hotel.

My only very small gripe was that the towels provided were very small (not sure if this is usual for US hotels?) and the bathroom was missing a magnifying mirror. Otherwise, no complaints!

We had a wonderful stay at the Whitney. The hotel is very stylish, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the bed was really comfortable. The location was great, just across the road from the train station and situated in the lovely Beacon Hill neighbourhood, with lots of lovely eateries and boutiques on Charles Street. Boston Common was just a short walk, and the whole city was within easy access.

Engagement with the reception staff were hit and miss. Some were warm and friendly, some were icy cold and wouldn't acknowledge when we say hello in the morning.
