Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaA lot of hidden fees that where not disclosed at the time of reservation. For example, a mandatory daily $25 wifi fee, mandatory daily $25 food fee, and mandatory $25 daily spa fee was applied regardless of service usage or not. That was disappointing.

United States of AmericaWell, I have a couple complaints. We had a suite - although, we were right next to the train, however, that didn't bother me. What bothered us is that the room was very loud with the vent that went on almost the entire night. Our room was extremely cold, and that could have been due to this particular weekend was very cold and frigid outside. Also, the heat didn't seem to keep the room warm, so we asked for engineering. And, the other thing, it would have been nice to have robes in the room since I initially stated I was celebrating my wedding anniversary; however, I called down to the front desk and asked for them because of the temperature in the room and the hotel provided them with no problems. Nevertheless, I would stay here again and give the hotel another try as my husband and I did enjoy our stay.
Overall, the property was nice. The staff was great and everyone made sure that if we needed anything, to just let the hotel know, which we did. Overall, the hotel, restaurant and the rooftop was nice and it was the perfect location for a quick weekend getaway! We would definitely stay again!

United States of AmericaWe stayed in a room on the 26th floor, which at first I thought was fine, even nice. However, The Roof bar is on the 27th floor, and it seemed that the music loudspeakers must have been directly above our bed. The bar stays open until 2:00am, loudly blasting EDM style club music with lots of thumping bass. We could hear the music plain as day from the time we went to bed until the bar finally closed at 2:00. It was impossible to actually sleep with that music blaring. Items inside our room were physically vibrating to the sound of the bass. You could hear the artwork bouncing on the walls, metal fixtures rattling, the doors shaking in the doorjambs, and it was a miserable two nights of sleep. So much for paying for a premium room on the top floor if you have to deal with that obnoxious music. I would have rather gone with their cheapest option of a room, if it was certain that you could potentially get some decent sleep. For this reason alone, I do not foresee us returning to this otherwise lovely hotel.
This is the review that pertains to the other reservation that I made, with back to back stays in the same room, after deciding to stay two nights when the original reservation was already complete and could not be edited. We drove to Chicago to see a show at the Chicago Theater, and this location is as good as it gets for convenience in terms of being able to park and then easily walk to the theater and other nearby attractions. The food on site was very good, with lots of delicious options, and not too expensive. We ate dinner at the roof, had room service breakfast twice, and a nice late lunch at State and Lake. Valet parking was seamless and very helpful, even though there isn't a lot of room on the street in front of the hotel, it still worked out perfectly. The room was fantastic, with plenty of room, a great shower, the soaker tub that we enjoyed relaxing in, a very comfortable king bed, and overall just very nice. Every hotel employee with whom we interacted was polite, professional, and helpful. We did stay two nights, although this review only shows one, but that is due to the fact that I added an additional reservation after this one was completed. To the hotel staff's credit, we were able to stay in the same room, and everything went smoothly, as if the original reservation had been for two nights. All we had to do was change out our key cards at our convenience on the second day.

United States of AmericaEven on the 20th floor, you could hear all the traffic noise (cars, ambulances, police sirens) loud and clear. So it was a bit noisier than I expected. It's manageable, but if you want something super quiet, just fyi.
The location is perfect for walking to pretty much anything you'd need or want in the Loop. And if you want to get out of the Loop, the Lake Street Station is practically attached to the hotel, so access to the metro is SUPER easy. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable. The lounge area was also great as a comfortable and quiet workspace during the day.

United States of AmericaThe party zone was a little noisy on Friday/Saturday night if you were close to the top of the hotel. 3 floors down wasn't too bad, but could still hear a little bit. We were warned by the front desk though and chose our room accordingly.
Location was great. Very walkable. Loved the rooftop bar and restaurant. Reasonable prices all around!

United States of AmericaI did not like that there was a $50 weekday and a $75 weekend minimum for the rooftop bar/lounge. The dress code was a little off-putting. It was disappointing that guests at the hotel did not have any special privileges at the rooftop bar/lounge. Small point but the sofa did not have pillows so less comfortable than it could have been. There was an outlet at one end of the sofa, but not the other end. Light over the dining table was bright and did not have a dimmer switch. TV options were limited.
I loved the location in easy walking distance to the Mag Mile, State Street, theater district, Millennium Park and Union Station. We saw a couple of shows, did some shopping, discovered a few new restaurants, and visited the American Writers Museum. The rooms were clean and modern. With art. The staff was friendly. I liked the lighting in the bathroom with main overhead light, mirror light, plus make-up mirror light.

United States of AmericatheWit wanted to charge me $11.99 per day for Wi-Fi, despite paying a nightly rate of $380. I was told only Hilton Honors guests get free Wi-Fi, so I proceeded to give them my number. They didn’t want to take it and said it was information they don’t take from guests who book through a third party. Horrible service at this hotel.
