To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe room was not what we paid for that weekend. There were "unknown" stains on the wall in the main bedroom, the living room chair was scratched up and not clean, the living room couch had "Suspect" stains on the cushions as well as stains on The bottom of the bed in the second bedroom. The second bedroom had a 6 x 24 inch space of pulled up carpet. The bathroom had a stained and unfilled hole in the fire sprinkler with a bath tub that needed some better caulking and drain coverage. I did not feel clean in the room and I avoided sitting anywhere but the kitchen table. There was no housekeeping the entire two days. The hotel was quiet but outside the room, a little humid. A decent exercise room. Management really needs to tighten up on cleanliness and maintenance. The parking lot was clean but I did not feel 100% safe going outside at night as the hotel is open in kind of area that you want to keep your head on a swivel.
The staff was wonderful. They treated us like extended family. We felt very wanted and welcomed.
