Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaIt was a bit noisy. I don't think it's double-glazed. I slept with earplugs. The room was quite dark, even in daylight. The room really needs an overhead light as well as the lamps.
The room was spacious for New York. The facility included a microwave oven and cooktop. This meant I could reheat left overs. The front desk staff were very helpful. The breakfast, although busy, had a lot of variety. The property is positioned well for the theatre district, garment district, Times Square, the CBT, etc.

AustraliaOur room was the incorrect one we booked and paid for when we checked in and we didn’t arrive until around 10pm when I realised we had been out in the wrong room and spoke with reception they advised the one we booked and paid for wasn’t available until after 1pm the next day. We were told to bring our bags down in the morning and they would have the room ready. When we went down in the morning the new staff on knew nothing about what was going on and we were told would look into it and sort it out. No compensation or apology was given for the mix up of the rooms. We had paid for a king with balcony area but on the first night had to stay in one of the standard rooms. Unsure how this was mixed up but definitely felt like we were told too bad the night we arrived and they would sort it later but there was a clear lack of communication and was disappointed that the only solution was for us to stay in a cheaper room than we paid for and to just cop the difference in price for that night for something that wasn’t our fault.
The property was clean and secure, central to everything, staff were mostly helpful and very friendly

United KingdomThe breakfast room was quite small, although we only had to wait for a couple of minutes on one morning of our six.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of choice for breakfast, with 2 or 3 different cooked foods each day, as well as cereal, oatmeal, pastries, muffins and bagels. Juice and coffee (including decaff) on tap. The location was amazing - short walk from Times Square and even shorter walk to a Subway station. The hotel has a gym, but we did so much exercise sightseeing we didn't need it!!

AustraliaRooms are a little smaller than anticipated however i suppose thats standard for New York. Our bathroom door didn't close properly and because it was a sliding door you could see out of it a little bit. the pillows were a little soft however all things that wernt deal breakers and not much to worry about.
the location of the property itself was in an excellent location especially if your wanting to stay around Times Square area. the subway is also in close proximity to the hotel. i did read on some other reviews that the one elevator thats in use is very slow however its not that bad, we never waited longer than 5 minutes. Complimentary breakfast is great with decent selections Hot/Cold. The staff were very helpful. The room has a good functioning kitchen with utensils/kitchenware/dishwasher which was great.

AustraliaNothing - but our smoke alarm in our room went off one morning early and woke us up. We were very startled and when I rang the front desk (wasn’t an emergency), they sent someone up to check it/fix it straight away! It didn’t happen after that.
Great location, close to Time Square & 42nd Street Subway Staff were great & very friendly Rooms were clean, shower and bathroom clean, bed is a bit small but comfy Staff held onto our bags whilst we waiting for our flight and were very helpful with organising a late check out, complimentary! Would definitely stay again.

United States of AmericaThe layout of the hotel was a little odd. But,I would stay in the king room with the terrace again.
My stay was enjoyable. This was a trip for my husband's 60'th birthday and to visit our daughter, who lives in NY. The staff decorated the room with balloons. had sparking grape juice and with chocolates in the room to celebrate my husband's birthday. The room was very clean, and the kitchenette came in handy. The size of the room was great compared to other hotels I have stayed in while visiting Ny.. The staff was very friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! I would definitely stay here again.

CanadaVery small dining area and short time window for breakfast caused many guests to stand while eating or to take the food to their room. I understand that the facility size cannot be expanded but extending the breakfast time until 10 am would definitely help.
Bed was very comfortable and location is the best possible.

ArgentinaBreakfast is not so good, too poor things and also it is not so comfortable to stay there to eat, it´s the same than lobby. We preffered to take it to the room and eat quiet. Small space on room but for a few stay it´s good.
Very, very good location, the subway was next to the hotel and it´s really closer from Sqare where you can found thousand of activities, commerce, markets, food, etc. Price quality hotel was ok but it´s because all in NY is very expensive, for the same price we spend the half with more days.

United KingdomIn-room storage was a bit tight.
Comfortable room with very good bathroom and kitchenette facilities. Breakfasts were good, staff very nice and helpful. The location was excellent ... on the edge of Midtown and just a few yards from a subway station. On our last day, there was a generous check-out time (midday) and the staff were happy to store our luggage temporarily.
