Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The door was hard to open . The fridge was dirty I had to clean it out. No smoking rooms and the lobby smells like smoke. The room could be clean better.

The location was hard to find, it was confusing as to where to park and where the elevator was no coffee in the room, we did find some in a lobby on way out.
It was the most comfortable bed I slept in on my 11 day road trip. The room was very clean.

I booked this room for my cousin with expectation that breakfast would be included. Coffee was the only thing included. Please correct this information on your listing.

It was a little out of the way but the rate made it ok.
I didn't have breakfast. I liked the price. I definitely would stay again if I'm fortunate to receive the same rate and room.

A odd odor in the room and I wish they were smoking rooms.

The cleaner used to mop the floor was too strong and overwhelming!! It made my eyes and nose burn. Please rinse and dilute it with water. No iron was in room to iron my clothes for work. The TV picture was extremely grainy with a very poor picture. The Hotpoint AC was very loud but when I turned the fan on low, there was no problem and the AC did work great. There were several hairs in the nooks and crannies of the dim bathroom although the tub was clearly clean. I think the dim light in the bathroom made it difficult to see all the hairs so they should put an extremely bright light in there when cleaning and then remove it for guests.
Very comfortable King Bed. Nice elevator to take me to third floor. Gent at check in was pleasant, helpful and respectful. Room was very, very clean. Bathroom was mostly clean. Hotel was quiet. Pillows were perfect. Price $65 was great. Towels and wash cloths were nice and fluffy. Lots of hot water!!

The common areas are univiting and looked dirty. The elevator looked very "sad" - dirty and as if it had already outlived its age.
The rooms are large and comfortable, the beds are very comfortable, there is a refrigerator that freezes very well, a table, a chest of drawers, so you can comfortably settle down for more than one night. The bathroom is particularly excellent - absolutely clean, a large mirror with excellent lighting, very convenient for putting on make-up. The rooms really left a good impression. I have to praise the staff - very friendly and willing to help, made our stay even more comfortable.

It wasn’t the property per se but the other renters. There was a family with 2 toddlers above us and there was nonstop stomping and movement during our stay. I rained one of the days we were there and we stayed in but the noise was still ongoing throughout the day and into the late times of the night. We spoke to the front desk about it twice and they said they would speak to them but it didn’t really change much. It did make the stay slightly uncomfortable.
It was clean and the staff were accommodating.

It would’ve been nice to have the breakfast that was advertised and not only coffee.

The floor in the room had mot been mopped. It was very dirty. I had to use a towel from the bathroom to go-over the walking areas.
