Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The owner was so accommodating, and helpful with our questions about hiking in the area. The rooms are comfortable and so well decorated. The kitchen is perfect and well maintained. Overall, a lovely inn.

My room did not look anything like the one in the picture, disappointed. The fridge made a noise that kept me awake most of the night when it kicked on. There was another motor sound that came on frequently during the night that kept me from sleeping sound. Bathroom very cramped, hard to shave legs in shower.
The bed was comfortable, and there was coffee and creamer provided. It did have a small fridge and microwave available.

Some road noise was inevitable especially for those cabins next to the road, it is a bit busy until 9pm or so
Clean house-like cabin, well supplied. Nice helpful housekeeper. An outdoor fire pit and there was a generous supply of wood.

The beds and pillows were a bit too soft for my taste. I slept comfortable enough, though.
The rooms are decent size so you don't feel crowded in your room. Plenty of space to spread out as needed.

Nothing could have been improved upon.
Trinidad Inn is an older property that has been meticulously maintained and lovingly outfitted for today's travelers and long stays. We stayed in a two-bed studio with a kitchen. Everything we could have wanted to feel at home was supplied (coffee, tea, a variety of sweeteners), and the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We felt as if we were in a home away from home. Frosting on the cake: a trail outside the door that winds through redwoods to the beach below, outdoor barbecue and seating, close location to town and the FABULOUS Tarrupin Cafe restaruant. We checked out three of the inn's units with separate bedrooms while they were being cleaned, and they would be awesome for families or traveling groups. The whole place is a jewel. We were told it has just been sold (October 2023) to buyers who have said they will maintain its style. We hope so!

Loved the beautiful serene location in middle of nature(including the wonderful nature walk at back of property), spacious well stocked rooms and being close to Trinidad town, beach as well as Redwood national forest. There were activities for families and couple onsite (campfire, bbq, games) too!

The Trinidad inn is right off a road that cars travel fast on, so turning off and into was a bit unnerving. The sign is not visible until you are pretty much on top or past before you know it. The room was very nice but the exterior of the whole property seems a bit tired. The gazebo in the middle has not been maintained. Because it is in the redwood area, the trees make it dark and mysterious. The property seems a bit gloomy bcs it is on the edge of a huge stand of talll trees.
The room was very roomy with a living area and bedroom. All nicely decorated, esp the bedroom. Liked the kitchen, which was fully equipped and clean. Roomy with a sofa, quiet area, right next to trail through the redwoods. Staff friendly.
