Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was no trash bags in the buckets , beds uncomfortable, bathroom extractor not working , no parking , I request a crib when I reserve and wasn’t provide

The linens were used prior so we used our own. The first employee we approached at 9-10pm tried to argue with the fact that I paid prior on booking.com and tried to charge me the full stay for about 5 mins until she "clicked on the site" and it said I paid in full. The second employee for overnight was the sweetest person ever! The breakfast was alright something you'd expect from a little hotel but I would stay again.
It was beautiful and peaceful, made me feel safe.

My pillows!! For such a nice hotel, the pillows was unsatisfactory. Better quality fruits for breakfast. There was only two options available and you can see by the appearance of the fruits that they have been there a while.
The hotel was in a very nice location, I felt safe. I was very pleased with my receptionist Jada. She was very friendly and gave awesome customer service. She took the time to provide a short brief about breakfast time, check out, and even helped me to make tea. She certainly left a lasting impression, so much that I would book a future reservation at this location. Thank you Jada! 😊

No lamp on bed side table. No rig in room. A/C unit was super loud.
Friendliest front desk staff I’ve ever encountered - the two women working when we checked in were super sweet. Walkable to tons of restaurants and bars. Close to highway.

My room phone was not working. No hand soap, I had to ask for it. My first night stay was very uncomfortable. I had to call the front desk twice on my cell phone to complain. I was awoken twice with a noisy gathering in front of my door in he hall way. Here was no noise on Saturday.
The room was clean, excepting the chair that was in the room. My black light shows a while stain, which I assume its body fluid. I pushed it out of my way so I don't make the mistake of sitting on it. I give it a 4 out of 5

i arrived around 3:45 and my room wasn’t ready despite check in being at 3pm. i had plans at 4 and needed somewhere to store my stuff, so overall that was just inconvenient. for future reference, i would allow time for your room not to be ready at check in time.
the photos were accurate, the rooms were cute. it was a very modern hotel, in a walkable area. i overall enjoyed my stay and i would stay again.

Iron had burn mark on it and only had 1 big towel in the room along with 3 hand towels and wash clothes

The room was very sparse. No drawers, so if I could not hang my clothes, such as underwear, I had to live out of my suitcase. I did not enjoy that. There was no coffee maker in the room, so I had to go downstairs in the morning to get my coffee to bring it back upstairs. There was no rug. so I had to do my morning stretch on a towel on the hard floor. I was suprised.
The staff was warm and friendly. The location was terrific. You could walk to different restaurant every night. The bed was very comfortable.
