Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The beds are very uncomfortable, the pillows are worse and they only offer a thin sheet or quilt for blankets. The bedding is not as comfortable as other places I have stayed.

There's a lack of storage for hanging clothes.
The moment we arrived, we were greeted by NES. He was friendly, informative about the facility and the surrounding area and has such a welcoming smile and demeanor. He's an asset to the organization.

I can't think of anything I didn't like personally. I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience at this hotel. I hope everything is consistent throughout all Tru hotels!!
Breakfast was delicious. Very convenient and considerate. No complaints from anyone in my family which was a plus!! Great selection. Wish there was a non-pork meat option on the day we grabbed food but overall everything was great!! Loved the personalized welcome and the cleanliness in the room and throughout the hotel. And the staff were very nice and accommodating! Customer experience was a 10/10!! Also, I love how secure the elevators were, having a coffee/tea bar available 24/7, and having sanitizer stations everywhere that ACTUALLY WORKED!!

Checkout is 12pm but my card on two visits was deactivated at 10am. When I told the staff, they tried to blame it on me saying my phone did it but my phone was locked in the room. Rooms were clean but the floors could use a good mopping because you will notice a lot of dust/dirt on your socks.
The hotel is nice. The location is quiet, being that it is behind the mall which doesn't get much business. The facilities are clean but my room's floor needed mopping. I appreciate that they had feminine products available and facilities outside of your room that were too clean. Breakfast was good with options for many.

Communication by the front desk could have been better. I was told by one employee that the second night of my stay was refundable and I would be able to cancel the second night and change my reservation to another Tru hotel closer to the airport, but that turned out not to be possible because I prepaid for the hotel.
The location was perfect for my travel, the hotel was modern and clean, and the rooms were comfortable. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was nice and quiet.

Was a bit of noise from outside from time to time, otherwise, everything was great!
Nice hotel, good location, room was very clean and well serviced. Smelled nice, no fragrance coverups. Staff was quite helpful and friendly, price was very reasonable.

Checkout was at 12pm but my room card was deactivated at 10am, locking me out of my room and making me unable to use the elevator to get the issue resolved.
Very clean hotel. Breakfast was a continental breakfast as well as hot foods such as waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage depending on the day.

The walls are a little thin so I definitely heard the people on all sides of me. If I had not had a white noise machine with me it might have an issue. I have a couple of minor issues I had. They need regular maple syrup they only had sugar free on the breakfast bar, The breakfast could use some more fruit on an otherwise good breakfast bar. Another minor issue is the lighting was good but they could use a few more watts especially in the bathroom.
The room was clean, the staff was exceptional and the manager bent over backwards to help correct a screwed up Booking.com reservation. Breakfast was pretty good, avoid the sausage. It could use some fresh fruit.

The room is a bit smaller than I am used to but very comfortable.
The facility was bright, airy, and clean. There is a very nice area for breakfast which was very good and well maintained. There are several good restaurants in the area for dining. The room is small but well laid out and very comfortable.

They make you pay a deposit but don’t ever give it back. It’s only $10 but I’ve stayed here twice and never got the deposit back. And I know for a fact nothing in the room was destroyed or damaged.

The lady at checkin was struggling with counting money. It took her roughly 10 minutes (not exaggerating) to give me change from paying $12 out of a $20 bill.
