Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

While the room was very clean. It was challenging to actually sit down and do any work on a computer because there was one chair and the "desk" was a small pull out desk, but you couldn't actually do much work on the desk since there was limited space at the end of the bed.
Hotel was very clean and welcoming! The breakfast was probably one the best free hot breakfasts I have had at a hotel before! The room was nice, but pretty small with no where to really sit unless you sat on the bed.

Breakfast was okay. Everything was undercooked. But it is a pretty standard continental breakfast.
Property is well maintained. Rooms are very clean and my kids loved the games in the lobby! No carpet in the hotel, great for those who have allergies. Beds were comfortable! Great location.

There's nothing I disliked about this hotel.
The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great with a variety of options.

We miss the breakfast sandwiches that you had during the pandemic! They were a great Grab and go option when we wanted to hit the road quickly.
Loved the bed and pillows and the layout of the room. We also enjoy the squeeze bottles for soap and lotion, and the modern look of the hotel.

The bed wasn’t the most comfy bed I’ve slept on. I also love to snuggle with blankets, and this was a typical sheet with a duvet & insert. Nothing fancy Nothing special. Simply room to improve!
The convenience to the highway, restaurants, area shopping couldn’t be better. There was plenty of parking, even for a truck pulling a 20’ trailer. Location was incredibly safe. The building was very well kept up, lit nicely & not your typical boring “beige” with orange or blue hotel decor. They had comfortable seating, including egg swing chairs with cushions, a pool table & all around a more “homelike” vibe than boring mid-priced hotels of similar caliber.

Hard to say. A waffle maker, perhaps?
Breakfast is above average compared to what you see in a lot of hotels. I enjoyed watching the machine make pancakes. The gym facilities are well equipped. The rooms are modern and very clean. We look around when we travel, but always end up at the same Tru by Hilton in Jeffersontown.

Rooms didn’t have microwaves. Ice machine was not working. Had to get ice from staff before they left at 11pm. Breakfast needs way more variety.
Enjoyed the quiet stay. The common area was great especially with the pool table, television screens, and board games.

When I first arrived the front desk, guy didn't immediately welcome me in or anything. He was on the computer, clicking buttons, and it wasn't till like two minutes after me standing there did he say something to me and then continued clicking buttons on the computer and check-in took a bit longer than I would've liked. When I checked out the next morning, first thing in the morning. The lady at the front desk was nice but she also seem like she didn't really want to be there because she had a bit of an attitude not really directed at me more like, just directed in the environment. Other than my two interactions with hotel staff, I had a very pleasant stay. One other thing that Tru really needs to upgrade is the pillows because they are complete crap, it doesn't matter which hotel you're staying at the pillows are not even supportive and hurt your neck.
Every time I travel, I always stay at a Tru by Hilton hotel. The location was quite convenient right off the interstate. The hotel itself is a lot smaller than other ones I stayed at. The breakfast was exceptional. Everything was clean and made for a good one night stay.
