To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThis isn't a complaint, but it would be helpful to have just a little more traction in the bottom of the tub to help avoid slips. And also more water pressure, but the hot water was plentiful.
The breakfast included good protein and both warm & cold options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated all the extra handrails in the restroom, you don't see that very often. I have seen others say there wasn't enough storage to hang clothes or the rooms were small. Neither was true in my case. And the rooms were very clean.

United States of AmericaWe were coming in very late at night, did contact less check-in but didn't work and still had to check in at the desk. Ideally, if the app would work correctly that isn't needed and wasn't really happy to do that with two tired kiddos that just wanted to go to bed. Also guy working desk in the morning instead of being at the desk was sitting at a table just working on his computer. Everytime someone came to checkout it was like they were inconveniencing him because he had to get up and work the front desk. Not a great look...

United States of AmericaThe staff seemed very unprofessional. When we first arrived I went to the desk to register. No one was around. There were several people sitting there. I assume they were waiting for rides, Uber etc. They naturally were all on there phones. Then after a few minutes one of them. Came up to the desk and started to login to the computer. For some reason she was having difficulty. Kept trying multiple times. Finally she has to go get help. All this time she didn't say a word to me. Then her supervisor got her logged in. Got thru the registration ok. Room was nice. Went to leave the next day. Lady at the counter was there dressed in clothing that I would describe at kicking around clothes. Most hotels u go to have uniforms that tell the public I work here. Not this place. Being in the service business for 46 years I tend to measure how a staff is trained and how they represent the place of business. This location was just terrible.
