Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis trip I noticed desk/dresser furniture was stained at base as if it had been in water and veneer was peeling.
I have stayed at the hotel on previous trips to Durham. I like it's location, especially if I am traveling by train. The room (as always) are clean . Love the freshly ironed linens and fluffy bath towels

United States of AmericaI think the room was too expensive, given that it had no windows. The furniture appeared tired, and the lighting was scant for an inside room. On arrival, I noticed the television was turned on, but there was no remote to turn it off. Furthermore, there were no bath towels available. Although the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, the absence of basic amenities and the room's overall atmosphere failed to meet the usual standards of a Hyatt hotel. For the price, at least a coffee and muffin should have been included.
.The staff and location were superb. The person at the desk responded to each of our needs promptly and apologetically. The bed was comfortable, and parking was convenient. The bathroom was clean and spacious. It was too cold for the pool, but the view from the pool area was terrific.

United States of AmericaThe pool deck was closed and there was nothing posted on their website.
It was unique and corky. We were on the level that overlooked the pool and there was a little couch to sit on and enjoy my coffee. The staff was friendly.

United States of AmericaHalf the rooms are interior and do NOT have windows, so they feel a bit stuffy and claustrophobic. I did not detect when I made my booking that I would have an interior room. I was able to check in early (it was winter and I arrived at the hotel whether my room could be available 3 hours early) / this was possible but there was a $40 charge -- something I've never experienced at 'higher end' hotels such as Hyatt chain. No facilities to make a hot beverage in the room.
Pool is closed in winter but there are transparent domes / small group conversation size with small electric heaters

United States of AmericaOur room was pretty small for the price we paid. No coffee maker in the rooms, but there was coffee in the lounge. Our bathroom sliding door wouldn't close all the way and the shower had poor water pressure. There were also two visible holes on the duvet cover as well. I just think the finishes could have been better.
Great location. Loved the decor and the staff was great.

United States of AmericaStaff could have provided a little more information - I had no idea there was coffee/light breakfast available included in the price. Hotel is a little musty, but I'm not sure that is avoidable because of the age. And I prefer mustiness to awful smelling 'air freshener'!
The bed and bedding are amazing! And the location is perfect.

United States of AmericaMusic was stuck on one genre and abit too loud. The DJ was non-responsive to my request to turn it down and motioned to another employee that was in 'charge'. Not allowed to bring outside drink or snacks, but they do have available drink and food, so very understandable!
Room and location was very, very good. The pool was excellent, refreshingly cool! Never saw anyone caring or testing water quality, but all appeared excellent. They allowed us to bring a guest, my son we were visiting, to the pool also.

United States of AmericaKids playing aggressively in the pool. It was impossible to hang out in the pool without being jostled around by waves. Don’t mind kids splashing or jumping in or playing catch etc but when they’re jumping up and down on floaters disturbing the whole pool it’s really difficult to enjoy a _vibe_. When asked to stop by another patron, the dad said “it’s not like we’re in a pool or anything” and proceeded to create bigger waves. The pool is just too small for that much movement with drinks in hand. Maybe having “adults only” hours would help.
Good location, A/C worked, live music was phenomenal

United States of Americamisleading booking details - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. We booked this hotel because there was a great detail on what was advertised as a "Standard King Room" but what we didn't notice was the very fine print WAY at the bottom of the booking email that stated that this was an interior room with no windows. When we got to the hotel, we found this out and, even though there was plenty of availability, they wouldn't change our room without an additional charge. Ultimately, it was only a $60 difference so we felt it was worth it. The receptionist comped our parking for our stay, which was a good solution and equivalent to the difference in price. The hotel was fine, but just be sure to read the fine print...
