Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Netherlands1. The room is really small for the price of the room 2. No vegan options at the breakfast. One or two options would be nice The con's don't weigh up to the pro's and I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a stay in New York
1. The vibe and atmosphere in the hotel is amazing! 2. The beds are wonderful

United States of AmericaThe homeless shelter behind the property made it feel less safe when walking to the hotel late at night, or early in the morning. There is also a couple of construction projects around the block, but then again that is New York City all the time. There is a couple of dining options around the block, but most of them close early, so it was challenging to get a late night bite. The alley that leads to the hotel is “hyper-urban”, that is its made to look a bit more ”used up” and “vandalized” that it would naturally be otherwise. The walls are covered in graffiti and the scaffolding is plastered with stickers. I liked the vibe, but older or more conservative guests might find this detrimental to their experience.
Great location, walking distance to Chinatown, NYU’s Paulson Center, and subway stations. There seems to be a shelter behind the property so leaving in the morning was a bit complicated as folks were lining up and some were a bit noisy. There is no full breakfast service, neither in líder nor a payed option. They do serve coffee and one pastry per guest. Pastries are pretty decent, coffee was meh. The rooms are clean, spacious and its cheaper than other alternatives I’ve used. Not a whole lot of amenities, but it’s a great place for a quick trip. We had a great view of the city even though our room was overlooking the alley.

BelgiumThe hotel is great and I like their sustainable approach to cleaning - nobody cleans your room, instead you put the garbage in the bins in the corridor and dirty towels in baskets and there is a stock of clean towels in a closet in the corridor. I wish however that somebody would come and clean the floor at least once. I'm sure they would do it if we asked for it, which we didn't. We had a quadruplex room with very comfortable (bunk) bed, but the tv area had no sofa, only a hard wooden bench to sit on, so if you plan to watch tv, prepare for some butt pain :-) One more thing: I told 3 different people at the reception that the light is on in an empty room next door but nothing was done the whole week, the light was on and shined into our window day and night (corner windows), not talking about the energy saving...
Coffee from barista was great in the morning, as well as pastry, just wish we could have more than one piece. :-) The hotel is cool, artsy, with a lot of art, graffiti, a tattoo studio, very nice and tasteful deco, in a nice vibrant location close to Soho and Chinatown, lot of shops and places to eat. We loved our stay here and so did our kids. The staff was very nice but not too much involved, they just let you be, which I appreciate.

United KingdomNot really a criticism, but there really is no need to replace the towels every day. Would have liked a plug for the washbasin.
Excellent location; well equipped rooms with fabulous views (13th floor). Breakfast (pastry and a coffee) was high quality fare in calm environment. Roof top bar was also a great location for viewing the solar eclipse from. Nice touch to refill water bottle every day.

United KingdomSink was outside of the bathroom and had only a cold tap, so the water was painfully cold on your hands, and this was March. Hate to think what it's like in mid winter. Hot water in the shower came and went, sometimes there were several minutes of only lukewarm water before it warmed up again. Air-conditioning never seemed to change the temperature of the room no matter what you set it to.
Beautiful modern and clean hotel, very cool and a great location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Amazing views. Bed in our room was enormous and very comfortable.
