Hampton Inn is our usual choice when traveling. We expected the usual clean room, good breakfast, and friendly staff. But this Hampton exceeded expectations in every category. A happy hour with free drinks and snacks? First time for us at any Hampton. And the staff was amazing, especially Randy.

United States of AmericaThe room smelled. The carpet was stained, not very clean which probably contributed to the smell. The shower leaked on the bathroom floor near the toilet. Mold on the bathroom doors and ceiling.
The breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Check in staff member was nice. Morning staff, one member was friendly and said good morning but two other staff members never looked my way or addressed my presence.

United States of AmericaThey didn't bother telling me there was no water at the hotel when they checked me in at full rate. Employee at check in was not friendly at all. Realized there was no water when I used the bathroom and it wouldn't flush. Different employee at the front desk discounted my room 20% as instructed by the manager only if a customer complained. Not even close to reasonable compensation for the situation. Wifi was slower than dial up, even with the Hilton membership. Breakfast was pretty bad. Potatoes had a old, soggy texture and the sausage patties were overcooked like shoe leather. The following night I stayed at a IHG hotel for a WAY better experience.

United States of AmericaThere were live and dead crickets in our room. The carpet was stained in several places. The charging station was filthy. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling in several places. The shower was disgusting; dirty and covered in that pink algae. The bottom sheet was ripped and the blanket was not covered in a sheet. We told hotel staff about issues the afternoon we arrived and again the next morning. All apologized saying the place was old and was soon to be update. The crickets are “always a problem”. No efforts were made to reduce our charges because the hotel was filthy.
Convenient to highway, historic Vicksburg center and military park.

Coffee in lobby was good . The idea of complimentary alcoholic beverages and happy hour is nice but we don’t drink. The complimentary breakfast looked good but we didn’t eat bc we left early. Pool and hot tub looked nice but we didn’t even notice it until the next morning.

Even though they didn’t receive our Booking.com reservation, they were very helpful making sure we weren’t double charged and booked us into a beautiful room. The staff members were amazing! We were greeted with graciousness from everyone we encountered. The breakfast was above our expectations. This hotel is beautiful and super clean. We enjoyed it so much we booked a second night. We are already planning to go back. My husband says we will stay much longer next time, perhaps a week.

Breakfast was great, the rooms were clean and we had every thing we needed. The front desk was also great and very kind. We appreciated the stay at the Hampton and it was great! We also appreciated the kindness, as we were here for a funeral for our mother how passed away. The kindness of the staff was wonderful.

I was given a new room with no trouble, which I appreciated, however there were stains all over the carpet, the kitchenette sink was dirty, and the iron left a film on my clothes. The property needs updating, badly.
