Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was no maid service. We were only staying for 2 night so it wasn't an issue for us but if I had been staying longer I would've liked to have the room freshened up.
Amazing location, 2 streets back from the beach. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker & safe. Everything we needed. When we needed more coffee, the staff were very happy to provide it. There were beach chairs, towels and body boards available to use in reception which was great as we were travelling very light. On site parking available for $25 - we checked around and this is a good price for Waikiki.

United States of AmericaIt's an older property and so although clean it isn't somewhere I'd want to stay for more than a night or two.
I liked the location, the price and the cleanliness.

United States of AmericaThe only issue I had with the room was the internet speed. Very slow.
It is a great hotel for the adult budget traveler. The location was perfect. Pre-arrival communication was good. I was able to get an early check-in time, which was great. The room was clean and convenient—no noise to speak of. I was able to print out a document.

United States of AmericaSmall elevator that closes then opens again (needs to be fixed), very small toiletries probably good for 2 showers each, pillows were way too flat and super uncomfortable to sleep, I had to use my travel pillow around my neck for the entire stay, also, the most unpleasant was to have found a cockroach on the furniture. Unable to get an extra sheet for the 3rd person in my party of 3 which was weird having to share the same sheets with my grown up son.
Location, laundry and parking available at a decent price, availability of beach towels, chairs, bookie boards, umbrellas at no extra charge.

United States of AmericaThe two food trucks right by the hotel generates lots of cooking smell. The unpleasant fried oil smell is quite heavy even though our room is at the 6th floor.
Very convenient location: only two short blocks to Waikiki beach, also two blocks to both of the two main streets in Waikiki, close to lots of restaurants and shops.

AustraliaIt’s a little run down and tired and pretty basic. Your towels are not going to be folded into swans. I didn’t mind that, especially given the $$ in Waikiki before Christmas.
I loved staying here. It’s a little bit old, but the staff are amazing and the location is superb. There is a caravan of eateries right next door, a cafe/restaurant right across the road, an ABC shop for groceries, and Waikiki Beach is only a few hundred metres away. As a solo female traveller I want safe and clean, and it was both of those things. There are no resort fees and you can use beach towels and seats for free. I was very graciously given a very early check in which was after a flight from australia was a godsend.

FranceSuper basic hotel in a dense urbanized area. Overpriced for what it offers. Very limited parking, obscene parking rates. Slow internet. They didn't take into account my request (made well in advance via booking.com) for a quiet room. Received the noisiest room they had instead. Two food trucks, combustion engine very loud noise (power generator-like) daily from 5 pm to 10 pm right underneath my balcony. Although the door of the balcony was sound proofed, the entrance door wasn't. Car alarms triggered at all times. Heavy bang, like a metallic garbage container dropped from upper floor at 4:40 am in one morning. The room was flooded by noise.
Close to beach, restaurants, shops. Direct public bus from/to airport.

AustraliaNothing, the place was perfect for us.
What a fantastic location. Right in the middle of everything, and some food trucks next door for a nice quick meal. The reception team were extremely friendly and couldn't do any more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to stay in a hotel close to everything in Waikiki but doesn't want to pay top dollar for the larger hotels.
