Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The base of the bed is metal and makes a really loud bang every time you approach the bed.
We've stayed here 3 times, the location is excellent! 10 mins from LAX, 5 mins to Manhattan Beach pier via car. The rooms are big and clean, newly renovated. Loads of free parking. Plenty of food options nearby. Light breakfast provided in the morning.

Room floor needed to be mopped better to remove exceptionally fine sand due to beach proximity.

I was double charged for my stay.I charged my other credit card for 2 nights but then my other credit card was charged $158.46 for one night stay which I did not use when I checked in.

The beds
The location was great! Thy l it looks like they are in the process of renovating the hotel. Or room looked fairly new with new furniture. The bed though for comfort was not good. The mattresses were very springy and the bed frame was metal panels that were very loud when bumped into. The family room was very nice!

Renovation is happening, so there is some stuff on the parking. Beds are comfortable, but if you hit a metal bed foundation is makes noise for the whole floor. Crazy colored lights behind bed :)
A great option for one night (or even more) after a long flight. Grocery store and different restaurants are just steps from the hotel. Covered parking

The wifi was very slow and unreliable. In general, the hotel is a bit run-down, but all in all good for the price. The breakfast is very basic and does not look great.
The room was very large. The arrangement of the rooms around the pool was very nice as well. A complementary breakfast was included. Parking was free and easy.

It wasn’t near enough to the beach to walk there. It’s more like a motel having to access the outdoors to reach the lobby or breakfast area which is okay when it’s warm and not to great when it’s cold at night (which it was). Could have more facilities on site such as a communal hang out spot where you can have tea and coffee and meet other guests.
It was clean and fairly close to the airport. The continental breakfast is a welcome touch with a waffle maker to liven things up. I felt very welcomed and taken care of upon my arrival and good staff make all the difference The room was spacious, my bed was very comfy, the shower had good pressure and was hot and it was quiet at night. There are a few places to eat nearby, a great grocery store with hot food options and the Starbucks across the street opens at 4:30 am so handy for early flight departures.

I didn't like how noisy the hallways would get like even housecleaning was extremely loud in the mornings and their voices would echo in the hallway. Also, the walls and floors are of low quality as you can hear people watching tv, or if you get a room on the first floor like they gave me, you'll hear a whole lot of bumping from the guests upstairs and the smallest thing they do like walk across the floor or move a chair is so loud and noisy and I believe it's because the walls are extremely thin. Also, although I'm not a pool person, the pool at the hotel shouldn't be touched as it's very grimy and dirty at the bottom.
I loved how easy and quick the check in process was and the fact that the hotel was located to convenience stores was great. It was also close to the beach although the beach itself is subpar.
