Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel advertised a $15 breakfast buffet, but that was false advertisement. There was no buffet! The breakfast food was packaged like cafeteria food. Also, there is no business center or walk-up computer to print your boarding pass.
We liked the convenience of the kitchenette and the entire hotel was clean. Excellent location to access the bus and train. We were in walking distance, approximately 10 minutes, to CVS, Walgreens, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods.

We were very happy with the hotel with one exception, the location. We had a room on the street side and the traffic, both foot and street were extremely loud. On our next trip we will ask for a room towards the back of the building otherwise everything was wonderful.

United States of AmericaWell, due to soap & coffee pod shortages in the room, I asked the front desk if I could get some needed supply. Yes, it’s DIY, come to the lobby & pick it up yourself…. and bring your own bag to carry the stuff. The young woman was disgruntled to go get said supplies from the closet behind the front desk. The lobby was completely empty but maybe she was working on the coffee pod inventory. She rationed (2) coffee pods, (2) shampoos and (1) conditioner. This simply confirmed that the supply & shipping woes that have plagued our pandemic lives is at a critical stage and continues to impact the hotel and service industry. I hope this location gets the much needed supplies so guests are comfortable and would want to return again. Maybe the employees will be more polite and provide pleasant service. I only asked for the bare minimum and expected very little.
Pandemic travel accommodations are still difficult, even as we move forward with less travel restrictions. The best part of the stay was a very good bed & pillows. Maybe due to employee shortage, the following small details were wanting: 1. The building frontage sign says West End. Only GPS tells you’ve arrived at your destination on New Hampshire Ave NW. As you approach the door, to the right is a small sign you might miss - Tapestry Hilton. When you get an invoice, it says Best Western. Aha. Now it made sense. This is a high-end budget hotel in NW Washington, DC. 2. No help with your luggage. Two clerks at front desk were glued to their chairs & small lobby is empty. You have to grunt & heave ho from the outside steps to another set of lobby steps. Not ADA compliant. No ramp for you. 3. Again, the best part is a nice, clean bed. In the bathroom, you get (1) square of tiny hard soap, (1 )shampoo, no conditioner & a different brand of (1)body lotion. (2) bath towels & hand towels. I was booked for (5 ) nights and this was disparaging. 4. The mini kitchen Keurig machine is lovely. You get (2) paper cups, (1) coffee pod, (1) decaf coffee pod & (1) black tea. No fighting with your mate so claim your pod immediately.
