Uncomfortable chairs on deck. Deck needs some care. Along with gutters leaking green alien water.please put up gromet curtains to have over patio doors. Not everyone is an early riser at 6am.

The door to the bathroom did not shut all the way. It seemed like the humidity caused the wood to expand.

Booking had listed breakfast included and the website showed a breakfast buffet picture. This has been discontinued. Talked with the front desk about it and they mentioned it was because of inability to update the information online. Minor detail for us on this trip. We made use of the full sized fridge and microwave. There was a farmers market and corn stand right down the road.

The location was ideal. Great free passes for the zoo and daylight bike rental is included. We used the fire pit and roasted corn from a local stand. It was perfect.

It said there was a breakfast but there was not. And we requested 2 beds but got 1 and a pull out couch with no bedding.

They didn’t do the breakfast thing anymore. The room was clean though and the owners were super nice.

Prices for places to stay in Duluth on a summer weekend are crazy - but they have to be able to afford to stay in business.

It was simply perfect. The bed was comfortable , the room was clean and had everything needed and the newly remodeled bathroom was well thought out. Most of all the owner was friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

A couple things needed fixing. leaky sink in kitchenette. And knobs are needed on the cupboards in kitchenette, hard to open without.

Cleanliness of room and friendliness of staff. Size of room was great. Loved having a deck w/grill.

We like the idea of one level. Easy to move in and out. Close to state park a real plus.

The ice machine is in the office which is locked up at 10 pm.

I had a room that had a patio deck in back with a grill and fireplace, and a jacuzzi in the room.

I wish you could get a welcome like this at all hotels! Such friendly, helpful people—made us feel right at home in an instant. It’s a classic, cute motel that’s updated nicely; very clean and comfortable. Our room was very spacious and we loved that it had a back door out to a green space. And of course, as Dog People, we appreciated their welcoming of our pups.

The TV streaming was slow and kept buffering; was trying to catch a bit of the USOpen tennis, but the slow streaming made it difficult.

Loud people above us. The A/C unit from the room above us was right over our door and dripped water all over us going in and out the door. Also we were sad to find out they no longer do breakfast in the morning.

Our first room was very small. Wish the location was closer to the downtown area.

The owner was very friendly and offered to move us to a very nice, much larger room in the lovely setting at the back of the facility. We enjoyed this room very much!!

Rooms a bit small

Nice place, a bit small. For an overnight stay, maybe two days, It would be great, wouldn't make it an extended stay. Towels, bed and pillows were the best I have seen, better than most big name hotels. Free bikes for riding on the Willard Munger Trail, would recommend doing that. Would stay here again.

We wish they would have had blackout curtains. Bright light coming thru the sides of the pull down shade on the picture window.
